Has anyone eaten here? Is it worth the money for dinner or would you do lunch? Thanks.

I did not like it at all.

My meat was very tough. The chef was not all that friendly (and let me tell you, I love to talk and be entertained and entertaining!!) the wait was long, and the food was just not as good as MY hometown teppan place (here in IOWA!!) The wait was an hour with ADR..and they told us restrictions of the DDP before we even ordered or asked!! I think that was rude it was not in a nice way either IMO...She was like "LOBSTER IS NOT ON THE PLAN, YOU CAN NOT GET LOBSTER!!" dh said

"you can get lobster if you want it honey...there is such thing as cash you know..."

but I was so put off by the service I did not want it. My steak was very thin and tough. The seaweed salad was very small and not all that great IMO. I don't know
I know you will hear other reviews but IMO we are not going back to Teppanyaki in August.

I never say NO to anyone though, you should try it and see but I wanted to share my thoughts

We have eaten there twice for dinner. The kids love the cooking. The chefs are generally entertaining. Never tried the steak. Had seafood and chicken and they were fine. Kids menu is a bit limiting but my kids thought it was ok. They have some fun drinks for kids as I recall. You do need to eat with other families if your group isn't large.

We have eaten there many times and love it. We've had lunch and dinner there and have enjoyed both. My DH had the chicken and shrimp and liked it very much. I usually get the steak. I'm very particular about my steak and I've always enjoyed it there.

I've eaten there a couple of times, fun show. But I definately would go for lunch instead of dinner unless you have the ddp. I went with my son. He just had 6 glasses of pop(they kept filling it for him). It was still $30 including tip for the 2 of us at lunch.

We were there last week. The food was ok, but not wonderful. Personally, I like the local Japanese steakhouse better...but that is personal opinion. The cooking show was good. The service was only fair. We had to ask the American restaurant manager to get us drink refills. There is no Splenda at this restaurant (I usually have some in my purse....)

DD (age 15) really liked the fact that the menu has things in Japanese and English and that the personnel are really Japanese. Our local place tends to hire any Asian person....DD is a Japan freak.

It wasn't bad. I'd put it on my "ok, but not magnificent" list. Yes, I'd go back if family wanted to, but I wouldn't push for it at all.

We had lunch at Teppanyaki last October and will be doing lunch again this October. The kids had more fun here than even their princess lunch. My Kraft mac & cheese eating DD (3 at the time) even finished all her seaweed salad, and most of mine.

We found the food good. Not outstanding - just basic, but very fresh. The entertainment factor was wonderful. The children in our party (4 in all) were very well behaved here, a huge bonus.

We ate here for lunch on Christmas Day last year. We really enjoyed ourselves. Our wait was only about five minutes and we were seated with a mother/teenager daughter and then a family of four with two daughters (9 and 7) with mom and dad. I thought the food was great and got the steak and shrimp combo while husband got the scallops and chicken combo. I figured I'd give half my meal to my husband since I'm not a big eater. I inhaled the lunch. Our chef wasn't over the top but that was fine. And they do tell you what is included and not included with the dining plan. We didn't have it but everyone else at the table did. I think they liked knowing what they could and couldn't get.

I'd definitely go back for another lunch.

Add me to the list of those who enjoy it. It isn't the same as that style of restaurant I have hear at home mainly because they don't have shrimp sauce. But I've never had bad service there and the food is always great. I'm not much of a plain rice eater until I am there. YUM!

We eat here on each trip and really enjoy. I am a big steak eater and I have had the Steak and Scallop combination and I found it to be delicious.
Our chefs are usually entertaining, some are better than others. My DS chose this for his birthday dinner.
We have only had dinner, never lunch here.

BUT with that said...we skip it now that we have found KOBE steakhouse!

Same theme, teppanyaki style Japanese cooking, but they include noodles and your portions are bigger. And it tastes so much better!

Kobe is just outside of Downtown Disney.

We have ADR's in June and I am so glad to hear such good reviews. We have a Japanese Steakhouse where we live that we enjoy.

Thanks so much for posting this. I Googled Kobe Steakhouse and they have their own website with menu and prices! I think I'll plan on this restaurant during my trip. They're only slightly cheaper: Chicken/Shrimp $23.99 (WDW) and $20.95 (Kobe). Shrimp/Scallops $24.99 (WDW) and $23.95 (Kobe). Kobe's dinner includes onion soup, green salad, rice, pasta and veggies (Mushrooms, squash, onion and bean sprouts). WDW just has veggies, noodles and rice.

Does anyone know how much it is to add the lobster on DDP? MOMOFNMN, did you end up adding it? Also would like to know the cost to add the sushi. We loved our dinner there last Sept. However, lobster and sushi were included in DDP then. Thinking of changing our ressies for August if the additional cost is too high. Online menu is still from last year.

We had it for Dinner and LOVED IT! Go there for Dinner and try to make reservations close to Illuminations. This way once you leave you will have the perfect spot to watch the show.
