Is it already too hot in the first two weeks of june for tent camping? We're trying to squeeze in a trip and I'm looking at all of our options. We love tent camping at the Fort, but we've only gone in the autumn.

Thanks!

We were just at FW the 2nd and 3rd weeks of April and it was already mid 80's and quite warm some of the time. Our MH AC ran the whole time we were there - would have been a 'no go' for us even then without AC.

Trust me, southern summers start early in the deep south and mostly continue through October - sometimes beyond. :eek:

It's 78 here today. Muggy.

If you can handle the heat and humidity, go for it!

DS and I are spending the 4th week in June at Cub Daycamp (all day); he's then spending the 3rd week in July at aquatics camp (all day) and then he and DH are going to Cub resident camp (for 6 days, tent camping)

It probably depends upon, besides your tolerance level, your disney camping/touring style. When are you going to be in the tent, how long are you going to be gone during the day....And I'd definately plan on tarps/easy-ups for shade if your site doesn't happen to have good shade. Inside the tent can be hotter than outside.

It was muggy and hot today, in the campground, even if the temp said 85 deg at the Fort.I was glad we were out and about in the campground today, and not at the Parks. Day before yesterday, much hotter. I care more about crowds and heat than heat alone. I'd do it if I had to, and leave by sunrise, coming back long after sunset, eathing every meal out in a nice airconditioned resturant.

What affects you and your party most?
That's what won't be doable.:crowded::headache:

We are going for 2 weeks the end of August in a tent. We are cheating though and have a portable A.C. unit for the tent. We typically don't spend much time around in our rooms or what not anyhow. We are at the parks before rope drop. Head out to pools or Disney Quest in the afternoons and back to parks for dinner and evening. Home at night to fall into bed. I'm hoping we will have enough options to keep us busy and out of the worst heat of the day and that the AC will make us comfortable enough at night.

Good luck!! :goodvibes
