My family is planning a return trip to the World this fall. After much planning, we think ;) we have decided to camp at the Fort.

We have a tent, and wondered what the weather is like at the end of September. We plan on visiting the parks and also enjoying the activities of the Fort. We tent camp in the NC mountains a couple of times a year, but this will be the first in a warmer climate.

What are your thoughts???

Don't know anything about tent camping, but the weather in Sept. is HOT! It was in the 90's and humid every day last year...we were there from the 12th-20th. It also rained (usually a brief, but sometimes heavy shower) most days. The parks are not crowded, but if you plan to eat at any table service restaraunts, be sure to make reservations ASAP! We also did the Halloween Party and loved it. We are coming to the Fort this year in our RV...stayed in the cabins a few years ago and loved it.

It will, most likely, still be quite hot. You might want to check out the recent threads on air conditioning a tent - there are some great ideas there :goodvibes
