Am I insane to consider trying this ? We have a Frigidaire window heat pump. It heats a 800 SQ foot building. Will it be big enough to heat two 8 person tents without us freezing ? Is Feb too cold to camp ?

I use a small electric heater to warm the tent when changing clothes for bedtime and again to dress in the morning, as having a heater running while I am sleeping makes me nervous. We also use heated throws and that keeps us warm through the night.

Thank you for the help ! The heater we have fits in like a window A/C unit only it is a heater. We were going to install it like a window a/c unit with the hole cut in the tent with the boot thing. I think it will work. :)

We had someone asking last month about tent camping in early February.

Here is the average weather for that time in Orlando and the data from this past February.

Personally I think it's a great time to tent camp. The sun feels warm when you're in it and air feels cool when your not. Evenings are crisp. Just watch the weather forecast the week before your trip and plan accordingly.
