Tent camping checklist?

Hi there,

We are thinking about tent camping at FW for 5 days of our WDW HM. I am so excited for this, but my DF thinks we are not going to be able to do it because we are flying in.

What are the basics that we would need to bring, as far as gear? & is it realistic that we can do this without having to buy or rent everything when we get there?

I started making a checklist and I was wondering if you could add to it. Just the camping gear & related (no need to list clothing!)

1) Tent & tarp (we have a 3 season Eureka-very light and easy to pack)
2) 2 Z-rests
3) 2 sleeping bags
4) Flashlights
5) Bug Spray
6) Marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate (I'm a sucker for s'mores!)

What else would we absolutely NEED?

(or if you have a link to a thread already posted for this, that would be great too!)

Ok, I looked through the list. Here's what we could realistically pack for a 4-5 day stay at FW. Will we be able to survive with just these?:

-Flashlights (the wind up ones)
-Bug repellent
-Extension cord
-Rope
-Trashbags
-Sleeping bags(sheets+blankets)
-Z-rest
-Tent,poles,stakes, extra stakes
-Matches, lighter
-Tarps
-Cell phone charger
-Power strip
-Marshmallows, graham crackers, chocolate

You can't have open fire at yout site, you have to go to the campfire to do smores. So you either don't need matches and lighter or you need charcoal if you were gonna grill out. You can buy a smores pack at the campfire for $5.00 if you wanted to save that room.

How crowded does the main campfire get?

Well, we'd prefer an air mattress, but I'm not sure if its realistic that we would be able to pack this on the plane Thoughts??

If you go early, 1 hour before movie just for the fire it's not as bad, also depends on when you're there, off season is slower.

check TSA's website you'll find some helpful info regarding packing camping equipment. Matches are not allowed as either a carry-on item or in checked baggage. Tools less than 7" are allowed in carry-ons so double check your rubber mallet.
