We decided we might go play tennis for an hour or so one day we're at Disney. We will be at BWV one day, then moving to Dolphin. Would we still be able to borrow equipment/ use the courts if we're at dolphin the day we want to use the court since we're DVC members? Or do we have to be staying at BWV that day?

Also- has anyone taken a lesson? Any thoughts?

Thank you!

The equipment at a DVC resort is for guests staying at that resort. Surely they have something at the Dolphin but you might have to rent it.

Thank you! I'll probably just bring my own equipment or just go to the parks instead

I've NEVER seen anyone actually using the tennis courts at the BWV. (Of course, I'm not there all the time, LOL). My guess is that no one will ask you to leave if you go over to play - and there's a very good chance that the courts will be empty when you get there and empty again when you leave. :)

If you were staying at a different DVC resort you could borrow the tennis rackets, but since the Dolphin is not a DVC resort I don't think you will be able to. Last time we stayed at Wilderness Lodge Villas we boated over to BLT and asked to borrow their bocce equipment. We weren't given any hassle when we said we were staying at Wilderness Lodge.

You also have access to BWV facilities your entire checkout day, so you could just plan your tennis for that day.

Well, the BWV clay courts stayed empty all last week. Nobody on them at all.

You are good for 2 days at BWV - you can use the facilities up until midnight on your checkout day.

There is also filtered water available right by the tennis courts so bring your water bottle.

I was reading the notices posted while there one day last week as I've often wished I had a tennis partner when there. Anyone taking lessons will get priority booking time on the courts.

I'm also pretty certain that if you book a lesson, it won't matter where you are staying, same as spa services at other resorts, etc.
