Would any of you like to get together and camp somewhere in TN. Would be like a Dis meet but over a weekend camping / campfire? The weather should be getting better soon.

We'd like to. As soon as I know my summer schedule.

What part of Tennessee, east, middle or west? I a ready! My Fort time isn't until October so I have plenty of time to go.

Not sure where everyone is at in the state. Does anyone wanna start thowing out ideals? Date / Campgrounds.

Never been to Loretta's. It looks kind of neat. We always assumed it would be a little touristy. We are in Middle Tn and would go about anywhere the right time of the year. Land Between the Lakes is fun, Fall Creek Falls. Has anyone been to Indian Boundary in East TN. I have heard it was nice.

Indian Boundary is very nice, however its not gonna be central for a small group travel wize. How about Seven Points its a COE Just outside of Nashville or Cedars of Lebanon State Park.

Fall Creek Falls is great & you can make a reservation during the spring and summer. I also like Montgomery Bell state park outside of Dickson TN. They have some sewer hookups down on the creek but no reservations. I have never been to Cedars or any of the C.O.E. props. I hear of a lot of people going to Defeated Creek (res available also).

Not too over whelmed with Cedars, but do like Montgomery Bell and really like Defeated Creek :thumbsup2

I have been lurking on the boards for quite a while and finally decided to jump in when I saw this thread. My family has been going to WDW since 1974 but have never been to the Fort. However last fall we bought our first camper, a Jayco Eagle Fifth Wheel. Of course we then had to buy a larger truck, a Dodge 3500 Diesel. Now we're all set. We live in Middle TN and are trying to find campgrounds close to home so we can "practice" before we head back to WDW and our first experience at the Fort. We visited Fall Creek Falls first in September and then again in October and loved it. Then the weather turned nasty. We have been gearing up for spring camping and think our first trip may be to Defeated Creek when the grandkids get out for spring break.

I would appreciate any info you guys have on campgrounds in Tennessee and who knows, we just might run into some of you at some point in the near future.

I like Defeated Creek it is a good solid campground and will cater to any size camping vehicle, pop up to Class A. We are on the popup end. I am assuming we will all likely need to do the weekend thing. If so DC is very busy and we should get a date nailed down soon. Spring or summer?

I'm a reel crappie fisherman..

I also fish for bream , bass, and catfish,:rotfl:

The first 3 weekends are better then the last 2 for us. Hopefully there are sites still open.
