Southwest has a Ding rate today for flights from Oakland to Orange County for $30 One-Way for the month of August.

Any of my fellow Bay Area DIS folks looking to sneak away in August?

Yes, Ding fairs are only offered for a short time. This one expires at 6:45 CDT. If you don't already subscribe to Ding, just go to southwest's website and subscribe to "Ding".

If I was a flyer, I would jump on it, lol. Then again, if I was planning on going in August. September, then I definitely would. But I'm not a flyer and I'd rather drive. But hey, that's a great price!

If you purchase today, they also have specials for Sept. 9-Nov. 18 flights. Oakland to LA is still $30 (except for Fri. and Sun).

I learned of these rates yesterday, and saw it on Ding this morning. What a wonderful price for a person that has the freedom to book for this month. I wonder if Southwest might repeat this offer, for September?

Southwest has a couple different things going on. They are having a "48 hour" sale that ends tonight at midnight. It is for travel from Sept 9 - November 18, travel any day except Fridays and Sundays. They have certain days that show a $30 rate from the Bay Area to SNA and LAX, including some Fridays and Saturdays!

Then, they have their daily Ding rates that are specials offered for purchase on that day only. Today has Oakland to SNA for $30 for anyday during August.

Ding also has Denver/Orange Co for $76 and Seattle/OC for $90.

I saw that yesterday. I just wish they flew out somewhere closer for me Oakland and Sacramento are over 2 hours away. Now if Alaska had great prices like that! Woohoo airport is 30 minutes away I would be in the air! LOL

I just booked a trip from Nov 5-9.

From Boise is was $60 each way so I was able to get 2 tickets for less than 1 would normally cost me.

I didn't think I would be able to afford a vacation this year but thanks to this deal we at least get a short one.
