I am planning my first Disney trip with grandchildren ages, 3 and 5. Timeshare nearby for one week. What is the temps like for first of June vs. the middle of June.
Suggestions to beat the heat for the week?
thanks.

The temps are probably going to average 85-90 for both weeks I think. As far as beating the heat goes, Disney does apretty good job of offering many opportunities to slip inside somewhere to cool off.

Besides that, drink, drink, drink water!! LOTS of it! They also have misting fans you can carry around your neck, those are so nice! We fill ours with ice water and then mist ourselves and follow up with the fan...it's so refreshing!

Wear cotton clothing, light colors, a hat, and plan an afternoon break back at your timeshare with a swim if possible! Go early in the morning and then later at night!

Don't forget the sunscreen and the chapstick WITH sunscreen!

:thumbsup2

You might see a little less rain in the beginning of June. Our rainy season starts in June, and by the middle to end of the month there will most likely be daily afternoon rain. It will be hot any time from late May to October, but during the rainy season it will cool off a bit in the afternoon after the storms roll through.

June is hot. Hot. Hot. It's doable, easily. Just make sure you and the kids get lots of fluids and take breaks!

We're going down to stay in our timeshare the first week of June(this year)....we'll be in The Fountains....where's your timeshare?

:cheer2: Welcome to the boards Russ! :cheer2:

Neck coolers are great at keeping you comfortable.

Also, get free ice water at counter service restaurants if you don't want to carry in lots of bottled water.

Sorry to get OT, but we'll be there @ the same time! :cool1: Have fun!

We are planning our next trip for June of 08, last two trips have been in August and I figure June can't possibly be any hotter or rainier than August and hopefully fewer hurricanes to worry about.

And we could really use the rain here! :scared:

Of course it isn't June, but a friend from work just came back from there and he said it was 85-90 the whole time he was there. He said it wasn't humid at all. Very little rain also. I assume the weather can't change that much in less than 2 weeks.
