Temporary Closure of Festival of the Lion King

FotLK will close August 25 and reopen September 20 is for improvement of the theatre. Better special effect lighting and air conditioning. YIPPPPEEEE

Not so YIPPPPEEEE for me. It's our first adventure there and it's going to be closed during our entire visit.

I am very disappointed as I have heard this was one not to miss.




Oh well......I guess there's plenty else to do......at least we'll be at disney!

I'm so sorry that you'lll miss FOTLK, it is one of the very best things about WDW. I guess you'll just HAVE to go back another time (and that's never a bad thing)!

awww that IS too bad. It is a "not-to-be-missed". It s so very hot in there during August and Sptember and durin inlement weather, they frequently had to cancel one or more performances a day.

Thanks for the heads-up. We're going 8/20 - 8;/30, so we'll have to plan carefully so we don't miss our favorite show.

I always wondered why this show was never enclosed with airconditioning. Last July, my mom really couldn't enjoy the show because it was sweltering hot in there.

So will it be open for shows ON Monday, August 25th and close that night or it is closing after shows Sunday night? I guess closed 8.25 means closed that whole day-right.
