I got a BG this morning. I tried again at 1 and the app told me I had no one in my party, and wouldn’t let me add anyone. Can I only get on BG per day?

Yes. Only one per day!

No problems. Canceled HS , reserved Epcot & the boarding pass was still there. Park hopped to Hollywood Studios at 2, and my boarding group was called at 4ish

Curious which boarding group you got. We got 50 (saya 310 minutes) so we are wondering if it’ll be after park hop time so we can change our park reservation start at a different park then hop to HS

I will say if the ride is performing normally the ride is often in the 60’s and 70’s BGs when the 1PM drop happens.

In most cases BG 50 is being called and the 1 hr return time will elapse before 2PM.

I am planning a DHS day for Monday, Sept 20, but I’m not sure when I’ll be in the park. Is it better to try for the 7am spot to see if I get a BG or wait until 1pm? I risk not being in the park when my BG is called if it would be too early. Also, how long do the 1pm BG’s normally last? (Would I be better off to only do the 1pm since I know I’ll be in the park then?) Thanks!!

We're heading to WDW later this month... I looked for the answer to this and couldn't find it, but I apologize if I missed it.
1. Can one guest in our party secure a boarding group for RotR for all of us?
2. If so, does the mde app simply request the number in your party (like when getting a dining reservation), or does everyone have to be linked together in the mde app?

Yes, one guest can reserve the boarding group for all if: (1) everyone has a park pass reservation for the Studios for that day and (2) if you are all linked on MDE.

I encourage everyone in your group to try to secure it simultaneously, as some people's cell service/web browsers are slower than others.

Ok so I get that I now confirm my party before 7 and at 7 furiously hit the refresh button but.. does the refresh button turn blue like the other use to. And can we no longer practice? What i mean is if I don’t have a park reservation for that day will it never let me hit refresh?

You are correct with practicing. It's not possible any more. I would not expect the button to change colors, just hit refresh as soon as your phone hits 7 on the day of your reservation.

What is the best way to refresh? My only 2 options are pull down or hit the back button? Also how successful is getting the 1 pm BG? Debating on whether to go to another park if I don’t get a BG or just try later? I realize there’s no magic answer for the 1 pm BG but just curious. I had been practicing before but the recent changes have gotten me a bit doubtful. Last question: is it better to go through the AT AT screen or through the virtual queue in my plans? Thanks.

Me and my wife tried this morning outside Cars building 3 of AoA, me on Verizon and her on AT&T. I was sitting with full 5G bars until 6:58 when it went 3 bars LTE. Don't know what was up with that. Speed was still fast though.

She secured BG 49. Now we have to hope the ride runs today. So glad to have this process behind us. We saw a couple other groups outside doing the same thing.

Another note because I'm sure others are in the same boat. I HAD the starter Verizon unlimited plan and was only getting speeds of 25mbs, last night I went to the plan with premium data and all of a sudden I started getting 115mbs. So if you want a fast verizon connection you need access to premium data.

I got BG 32 this morning!! I’m in Jambo House, phone set to cell (cricket, LTE). I used the world clock and started a stopwatch on my apple watch when it hit 6:59. Then I went back to the atat screen, confirmed my party and then clicked refresh (I did not pull down to refresh) at exactly 7.

Many people have reported being successful at 1PM.

Thank you for this. What I’ve done at this point is change out MK for DHS for day 1. If I can’t get MK I’ll just keep the DHS and try for the 1:00 pm BG. I plan to keep my Epcot ressie for now but may just try for day to day. Ideally I’d like to get my DHS day as the 3rd because I currently have ADRs for Sci Fi, Droid Depot and a 9:30 pm for Ogas. I’d hate to lose them but as I said ROTR is a priority.

Got boarding group 38 this morning. YC, Iphone 11 on Disney WiFi. Remember you can confirm your party ahead of time, I think up to an hour. I did that about 6:45 & just left the app open on that page. At 0700 just hit refresh, then join. So if you get that set before 7, it doesn’t matter if you go thru the At-At screen or my queues. Also, after you confirm your party, there is a refresh button on the bottom of the page. That’s what I used. No need to use the back button.
