I got a BG this morning. I tried again at 1 and the app told me I had no one in my party, and wouldn’t let me add anyone. Can I only get on BG per day?

Yes, that has been the case except for the earliest days that RotR was open. Only one BG per day per person.

On Wednesday I'll be arriving at DHS in the afternoon, probably after the 1pm boarding group reservation time. I was wondering about a strategy to get a RotR boarding group. I could try at 7am to get a BG, but I might get one that is before my arrival time and miss it. I could be slow in the app, and try around 7:05, hoping that I get a BG for later in the day. Or, I could just take my chances and wait until I arrive at DHS around 1:30 - 2pm and then try to get a BG. Any advice?

The waiting strategy only works if crowd levels are really low like they were leading up to the holiday weekend. If the crowds linger a few days, you may be out of luck if you wait.

If you know for sure you can't get there til 130/2pm, I'd try to grab one at 7am then when you arrive, just explain that you tried to get there on time but got delayed. It may work, it may not, it's usually at the discrimination of the cast members. Hopefully you have another HS day later in your trip just in case.

Saturday was a perfect day for us. Got BG 41 at 7am which gave us plenty of time to arrive, do all of Galaxy's Edge and Star Tours before our BG was called at 11:30. We did MFSR twice at Rope Drop and were able to be all 3 stations.

A kindred spirit! I'm 69 and got my first ever boarding pass on August 22nd. Second was on August 29th. Now I'm waiting for everyone to go home. ;-)

I just tried to start my practice for 1PM and am now seeing at 12:15PM when I click 'Join Virtual Queue' at the AT AT picture, that a new screen is displayed asking me to Confirm my Party.


When I click ‘Confirm Your Party’ the new screen is displayed plus a message telling me I do not have any eligible party members and gives me the option to change my party.

Thanks to you and @jcarwash for this information. Looks like it will reduce the number of people practicing, so that only those who have the necessary credentials will be pinging the server at 7:00 and 1:00. With additional virtual queues starting soon (Remy) as well as the 7:00 AM rush for G+ and IAS reservations, seems like a necessary step for them to take.

Looks like those extended windows were a an anomaly. Crowds are nowhere near what they were in June-July yet the window is closing in 5-7 seconds again.

We have not had any reports of anyone trying this yet. A few have asked the same question but in the end decided it wasn't worth risking possibly losing their RotR BG.

In order to qualify for a BG at 7AM you need to have a park reservation. If you cancel that park reservation it may also cancel your BG but nobody here knows for sure as it has yet to have been tested that we're aware of.

If you do, please let us know how it goes.

Logically thinking, the system theoretically only looks at your reservation at 7am, so changing the reservation after shouldn't affect a boarding group you already have.

However, that doesn't account for any other checks Disney may have on the back end. If you have other DHS days, it may be worth testing out, but just remember, there are no guarantees at Disney world.

No problems. Canceled HS , reserved Epcot & the boarding pass was still there. Park hopped to Hollywood Studios at 2, and my boarding group was called at 4ish

This is great news! So glad it worked out and that you were able to ride in spite of cancelling your park reservation for DHS.
