My daughter is 8 and does not sweat. Now that means she can always wear silk
but it also means she does not regualte her body tempature right. She over heats very very easy.
This past week we went to the Zoo and since it was the first hot day (82) we have seen in months, we live in Ohio. She got over heated, pretty mild, a ice pack and ice water in some shade and she got her cooled off.
Well I was wondering if I can pack those emergancy Ice packs in my purse just in case, you know the ones your break and shake and they are cold. Or if I bring Zip lock bags and ask for some ice from a vendor would they give me some? Or will I have to call for the first aid people to get a ice pack?
We don't want to carry around 6 bottles of ice water all day only to have it warm up by the time she need it so we are good with paying for the over priced water in the park. Or can I ask for a cup with (OMG no!!) Tap water and ice. They have carts and counters with cold items all over right?
Any advice to help? we are planning on visiting April 29th and are not staying on property so going back for a afternoon swim won't help. But we are okay with leaving to go sit in some air conditioning restraunt or shop and cool her off.
