Tempanyaki delay

We have ressies for 9/11 at Tempanyaki to celebrate dd11 birthday. She was soooo excited. However, as you all know, they delayed the reopening until the 15th. I called yesterday to get some backups. Tempanyaki (or whatever new name is) was booked solid for two weeks following opening. I didn't cancel my ressies, but was able to add Mama Melrose's on 9/11 and the French restaurant on 9/16 (a backup to our previous ressie of Mama Melrose on the 16th). Just an fyi that if you are flexible with times, some backups are still available.

so when is teppanyaki set to open? we are going 8/17/07-8/24/07 have reservations for the opening night (tahts what I was told in May when I booked it). But you are saying it wont be open till SEPTEMBER????

If that is true, should I have been notified? I just recently started looking up info about disney...and even on their OFFICIAL website, i did not see anything about renovations. I didnt know there would be any until I called and tried to reserve a table!

Please help me...I called yesterday to try and switch a few things and as it turns out (which i am not surprised by) everything is BOOKED!!!

They SAY that the new opening is now 9/15/07. We never got any notification either. I only knew from reading these boards. Good luck finding other reservations.

we also had late august Teppanyaki ressies and had to change them... i don't believe they were notifying people (imagine how many phone calls that would be... 100 tables a day x 30 days = at least 3000 calls! it's just not feasible)

im so upset! the is on of the places I was most looking forward to eating at!! I called and changed my reservations-now we are eating at Tonys Town Square, anyone know how that is? Im not thrilled about having to go there but we bought tix for the pirate and princess party that same night already and the only thing i could find that was still left that night was too late, bc i would have been cutting into the P&P party! Tony's was available for 615 and since its at MK I figured thats pretty much all i had left!

I don't know anything about Tony's, but at least you have someplace to eat. Think about how many people out there who don't know the rest. will be closed. Ouch!! Plus...you will have a great time at P & P afterwards. It will make up for all of the inconvenience. We went to P & P in January and felt like the park was ours. We estimated only 500 people in the whole park. Hard to imagine, right? However, the weather helped us out that night. It was pretty chilly. Anyway, have a great time!!!
