Good news: DD bought a house! (well... closing on Wednesday)
Bad news: DD bought a house- meaning she, SIL, and the resident 8 year old will be moving out before school starts in September.

Our new pool was filled a few days ago, we spent a solid 90 minutes in it this afternoon!
Eldest son is eloping at end of August, we LOVE our new DIL.
Got work travel and to San Diego & Cayman Islands in Feb. & March, looking forward to both.
Youngest son & his wife just bought a house, we LOVE our other DIL.
One of our dogs was septic - vet figured it out and saved her. Wasn't cheap, but we are thankful our pup is back to herself after this episode. She's a pain in the ***, but our pain in the ***.
I planted a pollinator patch and it's been a spectacular success- I've got great plans for next year and a bigger area.
I've a appt. for a pedicure on Wednesday, I am looking forward to it.
Wine is cold in the fridge, going to have another glass

There's plenty of bad, for sure. I'm just going to dwell on the good. We'll work thru the bad as we appreciate the good.

After multiple knee surgeries (first doctor messed up), I'm finally able to walk with almost no pain

I’m sitting in the back row of a SUV embarking on a 2 hour road trip to a scouting conference (National Order of the Arrow). But at least I have coffee and some leg room. Best part, I’m not the driver!

Good News: I have hired a 12-year-old neighbor to assist me in my pottery studio. It is my side hustle and I am having to hustle a little too hard right now to keep up. He is doing a great job.

Bad News: He is having a great time, feels very comfortable, and last night felt at home enough to fart loudly. I had already declared my studio a fart-free zone when my husband felt as comfortable a few months ago. I am going to have to revise my contract with the neighbor!

Bad news: My brother has CoViD, so I'll have it soon as well in the next few days

Good news: I scored a Dooney Haunted Masion tote that I’ve been wanting in great condition!


Bad news: I’d finally given myself permission to buy the Dooney Sketch weekender bag I’ve eyed for years, but I spent half the budget on the HM tote

Good news: first post op MRI from brain tumor removal came back looking great.

My trip to Disney is in 2 weeks and I can't wait!

Maybe good news....my sister in-law got engaged...but they've been together 2 months, she wants to get married in May 2025, when asked what her budget is, she has no idea. She thought getting space in a hotel for a wedding was only a few hundred dollars. Her maid of honor is unemployed and my 18 year old daughter is the only other person in the wedding party. From some of the details I've been told, it may be a 3 ring circus instead of a wedding at this rate.

Good news a: I was successful in securing my race entry to the Princess Challenege (10k + half marathon)

Bad news: I’m out ~$420…. But it’s for my mental and physical health so it can;t be all bad.
