Since I'm not big on rollercoasters and heights, there were not too many exciting rides that my 15 year old and I could go on together. My eight year old and I went on alot and my husband went on alot with both of them. So when we went on Buzz Lightyear ride, I said I wanted to ride with my 15dd. LOL She was trying so hard to hit the targets and I just kept spinning around trying to take pictures of everything. She kept yelling at me to stop turning the car so I started doing it more and laughing hysterically. We laughed so hard when that ride was over that I was crying.

We (me, DH, DD -7, DD-9) arrived at the MK on our first official family WDW vacation last May. My older DD had to get off the monorail with Daddy to throw up at the Polynesian while my other DD and I were stuck and continued to the MK. We waited for them and got to sit on the wall just under the station to watch the characters arrive. DD continued to throw up in the bushes, but she was smiling! I'm freaking out, of course, how can this be happening? We vote to enter the park and see how it goes. It keeps going in the trash cans! Well, DH decides he'll be the one to return to the hotel with her, she's sobbing that she can make it, and I'm just about to cry at our picture perfect morning. We decide he'll sit with her for a few more minutes while I take the other one on Peter Pan - her first WDW ride.

O.k., we get on the ship and she starts CRYING and clutching my arm like I'm torturing her and won't open her eyes. Can this morning get any worse! I have a 9-yr-old throwing up and a 7-yr-old who is freaked out by the Peter Pan ride of all things. Well, we all meet up and sit a few minutes and notice DD hasn't been sick in awhile and she actually says she feels good and her color has returned. Younger DD has calmed down too, so we decide to "start over". We head to the Haunted Mansion, which they had both been excited about, and both girls are thrilled and the true magic begins...

Turns out older DD had delayed motion sickness after the 19 hour car trip (she had it once we got home too!) and she was fine after that few hours. Younger DD went on to try almost everything and was a real trooper (she never did get back on Peter Pan!). It's funny now, but imagine what I was thinking that morning as my dreams began turning into nightmares!!! Can't wait to get back in 2005!

SO many hilarious memories but the sweet one that stands out is from our last trip - nothing like seeing your child experience the magic....

PLUTO has always been DD's absolute fave - they "bonded" on her first trip at age 3, and now at age 8, she knows Pluto considers her HIS favorite, too:teeth:

We were dining at the Garden Grill Character lunch - I had spoken to the CM's at the podium to "remind" them of the special bond so Pluto would "remember" - I always do this, and FYI, it works wonders - the CM's go overboard to make everything magical.

Anyway, Pluto came up and surprised DD by picking her up from behind, making all those gestures to indicate how much he'd missed her, CARRYING her around the restaurant, and more. Then to cap it off, when we were ready to leave, Pluto's CM handler asked us to wait as Pluto was returning with something for DD. He came back and presented her with a Pluto lanyard!

While DD and Pluto hugged, his handler explained to me that he (Pluto) had gone to his locker to retrieve the lanyard from his personal CM collection and that it was something that could NOT be purchased - she then asked the rhetorical ? - did I know how special this was? Well. OF COURSE I DID!

:D

A great thing happened during my last visit to WDW. The park had just opened and I was making my way to Frontierland to go on Splash Mountain first. As I was making my way there, I noticed that the section hadn't opened yet. I looked to my left and who was I standing by but Mickey and Minnie! We walked to gether toward Splash Mountain. I got a great picture of me with both of them, and everyone else was standing behind us. It was just a cool feeling to be "opening" the park with my favorite character. I even had my Mickey ears on. To say that I felt like a kid again at that moment is an understatement.

While walking towards the enterance of the MK I happened upon a country bear. He was waiving and being silly. I had had a LOOOOONG day, was tired, and in a real mood. I proceeded to tell this Bear to "go away, you scare me." The Country Bear proceeded to stick his tounge out and give me a razzberry :)

I have 2 that happened on the same trip.

Our son's first trip was when he was 5. The first day we were staying at the Polynesian and walked over to the TTC to catch the EPCOT monorail. We were able to get up front with the driver and as we were pulling into the EPCOT monorail station, DS said, "Dad, Disney World was fun, we can go home now."

The second one was about 3 or 4 days later. First thing that morning we are walking over to Captain Cooks, when a bunny rabbit appears by the path. DS said "Dad is that real or a robot?" Can you say Audioanimatronic overload.

Last March we had our last Character Breakfast at the Grand Floridian (1900 Park Fair). We had last seating as we were making a brunch of it, not going to a park that day, leaving for home that afternoon.

The room was nearly empty by the time the characters made their way to our table. We took pictures with Alice and Pooh and they signed the autograph books (6 kids = 6 books). Next thing you know, Alice and Pooh have "stolen" my neice's beach bag :upsidedow and are splitting up the goods at an empty table halfway accross the room. Pooh puts a purse under his arm and starts squirting a squeeze breeze, Alice tries to wear my neice's bathing suit and waddles around with it around her ankles. Mary Poppins takes the items away from them and brings them back to our table saying she is very sorry and makes them say "sorry". Alice says it like she is being forced, as though she is a naughty girl  . Alice was very into character and very funny. The kids still talk about this.

Who didn't get along very well outside of Disney, but we all had a great time together IN Disney...

Anyway, one of the best moments was hearing my Mom laughing like crazy as she was coming down one of the raft rides in Typhoon Lagoon - with her hair plastered around her face and her makeup all smeared. I hadn't heard her laugh like that since before my Dad died 7 yrs ago and before she had depression. It was great.

I have two great stories.

On our second trip DD was just shy of 3 and DS was 6 weeks. We were waiting for the nightly parade at the MK. DH got sick and decided to leave and meet me back at DL. Just as the parade started he came back saying t\he felt better. Then during the parade, Snow White cam up to DD and kissed her on the cheek. She didn't do this to anyone else we saw. We were so amazed she picked our DD to kiss. DH was so glad he came back and saw it and DD was extremely excited. Snow White left lipstick marks and DD wouldn't let me wash her face that night.

The second one was on our thrid trip. Now have DD 5, DS 18 months and DD 3 months. We were in line at the tent in Toon Town to see characters. DD 18 months wanted to see Donald really bad so we got in line. During the time he was being a major stinker so DH took him out. I had DD and DS 3 months. Well, DD need help with sigs so I was a bad mother and put DS down on a blanket near the wall because I couldn't hold him. While I was taking pictures of DD I heard a bunch of people laugh and take pictures. I looked over and there was Donald lying on the floor with DS. He was playing with him and they were having fun. I ran over and started taking pictures myself. When we were done and got out I told DH what had happened and was disappointed he didn't see. But it never would have happened if he was with me.

Not so much a story, but myfavorite memory so far. Last May when we arrived, the 1st thing we did after cking in to POR, was go swimming to cool off and stretch our muscles after being in the car for 22 hours. I remember me, my DH, and my 3 kids swimming in 1 of the quiet pools with no body else in the pool area at that time and just looking around at them having a blast in the pool, thinking "this is it, this is what I saved and planned for, to see the smiles on their faces, the relaxed look on my DH's face after a whole year of work, work, work. This is what I wished for, and to think it was only the beginning of 1 of the best weeks of our lives. :)

It was one of our first trips to Disney World for vacation and we were at Mickey's Toontown Fair. My daughter sees Alice and wants her autograph. The line was sort of long, so my wife says she will get us something to drink while I wait with DD for the autograph.

As I'm waiting off to the side, Alice decides tells the kids to follow her and she will sign all of their books. She then procedes to skip away! All the kids, DD included, go skipping after her and I'm trying to decide what to do, chase after Alice the kidnapper or stay and wait for my wife to return. Well, with my DD getting smaller and smaller in the distance and my wife nowhere to be seen, I chased after the kids and figured I'd find my wife later. Alice finally stopped skipping when she reached Dumbo!!

After getting her autograph, my DD and I returned to Mickey's Toontown to find my wife frantically searching for us with a "What the H*ll" look on her face! LOL!

I'll never forget that part of our trip.

I have two stories that come to mind. The first one was 8 years ago we were having breakfast with Pooh and Tigger at Olivia's. My then 2yrld dds, my 4 mo old niece, and my 4 yr old nephew were loving the characters. Tigger comes over to the table and takes my niece from my sister and starts walking all around with her. He then sits down at the table and takes the bottle from my sister and starts to feed her. We've got great pictures of this.

This past August we were at 1900 Park Fare. My dds, 9,9, and 6 are having pictures taken with Tigger. Pooh comes over and takes my 6 year old's teddy bear and proceeds to play with it. Wrapping it up in a napkin, "feeding" it with a spoon, etc. Then Eeyore comes over a steals the bear. The procede to chase each other around before Mary Poppins comes over to "scold" them. This went on for a good 5 minutes. The girls faces at watching the characters play were priceless.

* The Festival of The Lion King - my first Disney thing with my kids. I cried the whole time!

* DD's (6) open mouthed expression upon seeing the Castle for the first time. She stood that way for 5 minutes!

* When my husband climbed over the bridge at DD, and hung onto the side so that he could rescue the "squishy" toy that he had just purchased for DD. It had slipped out of her hands and bounced into the water. When he came back on the bridge, we had attracted quite a crowd!

* Riding the Alladin Carpets three times in a row during Spectromagic without getting off.

* My 20 month old doing the Hokey Pokey with the characters in Frontierland and getting mad because they didn't do it the same way she did!

* My 20 month old barking at the dog on the Carousel of Progress - continously!

"No, Mom! BTMRR isn't scary at all. It's just like the train around the park, just a little faster!":teeth:

We told this to a woman who can barely handle the dip in POTC.

Last time she ever took our word for anything...20 years later she still won't let us forget it.

She should have known better. The first time she ever flew was as an adult. My dad gives her the window since he had been in the air force and didn't feel the need to look out. She noticed a field next to the runway with rusted out airplane parts laying around. She turns to him and asks him "What's all that?".

He looks and says "Oh, those are the ones that didn't make it!"

So it was his own fault that he had bruises the exact size and shape of my mom's hands on his arms when he got off the plane. She latched on and woulnd't let go the whole flight.

After a long day at MK w/ DD5 and DS3, wife and I were trying to find a spot for the spectromagic and trying to decide if it was even worth staying because it was so crowded when a CM came up to us out of nowhere and said she had a spot for us to watch the parade. She led us to a roped off VIP viewing section. We were the only ones there and every character stopped and hugged/kissed the kids. My wife was in tears afterwards from seeing the expressions on our kids faces. What a treat. I'm afraid however that any visit after that will be a dissappointment. A year later and I still can't believe the good luck we had that night.

Last June we were on the bus, heading back to MK from AS Music to see Spectro and fireworks. Thunderstorm comes up, DS (then 3) falls asleep. DW says she will take stay on bus and take DS back to resort. DD (then 5) and I get into MK just as it starts pouring rain and lightning strikes around us. We hang out in Exposition Hall for a while, then make our way down Main Street by stying in the shops. As sky clears we proceed to have a magical "father/daughter" night at MK, topped off by her very first viewing of Spectro and fireworks. Every time I looked at her face she was grinning form ear to ear.

oh its hard to pick one but here goes...

I brought DH for his first time back in 1998. We were with my mom and dad, brother, SIL and 5 year old niece. We were having a great time but my DH just never understood why Disney made me (and my mom and SIL) so happy. We were going to skip the parade as he really didn't want to see it and wanted to ride space mtn again but because of the lack of lines, we did those rides and made it to the parade.

As we are walking over to find a spot, who do we run into but my niece and the rest of the family! So we got some cookies and a drink and watched this amazing parade (I think it was the main street electrical parade back then) Casey sat in a stroller up front and every single character came over to her. She was beaming and laughing! I was so glad we made it over to the parade because it was spectacular and after seeing it (and Casey's reaction) Danny actually said "I finally get it!" Yipee! I had finally done it - a new Disney fan!

We have been back three times since then and bought DVC this past spring!

One special memory happened for me about 14 years ago when my son was 4 years old. The Main Street Electrical parade (our favorite) was coming down Mainstreet and all of a sudden my usually quiet and shy little boy started dancing to the "baroque hoedown" song that plays during the parade. He made a big circle and people cleared a path around him and just applauded him. It was so great to see him just having a great time in such a wonderful place.

i have 2...the first was one i was maybe...5 or so...i was there with parents and little brother and there was a whole crowd of people and mickey picked me to dance with him..the pictures are soo funny i just remember i was sooo excited..

Last march, i went on my senior class trip..it was just great to be there with my best friends ....the whole trip was perfect..

may im going with my best friend..im sure its gonna be fun
