I can't even believe that I'm considering this option, but it just makes SO much sense. The stroller we're bringing doesn't have much storage - the camera bag I'm bringing is meant to be held on a belt AND I don't want to have to take off my backpack every time I need something. Am I crazy!? I'm ONLY 29, I'm not 80!

Hi
I used a mini bag with a strap that goes across your body for the 5 days I was there and wished I had brought my fanny pack. Even though my mini bag was very llight, there's nothing like have your hands free, and no should pain. When I was there this past August, I bought a new Disney fanny pack at Pop and wore it. It's not very fashionable, but I was so comfortable, I didn't care. And besides, you'll never see these people again. So wear it and don't worry what anyone thinks. You'll be a lot more comfortable. Have a great trip!!

I have done multiple trips to Disney - with and without kids. I've tried carrying stuff in just pockets, purses, strollers, and backpacks (both small and large). I finally broke down and fanny-packed it for my most recent trip. I loved it! The best part was being able to just grab the camera (have to be ready for those photo ops with 2 little ones). And I'm only 30:laughing:

I fanny pack it EVERY trip!!! It is the only way to go for me. Its much more convenient carries everything I need plus my camara bag hooks onto it. My hands are free and I don't have to worry about putting it down and miss placing it any where. I feel much more secure with it versus a regular purse.
I have a Disney one that I actual bought in the MK. LOVE IT has several pockets in it.

You betcha. I think that when I'm at a theme park I throw fashion out. I admit I wear a fanny pack. It stays packed in the Disney section of my closet.
I like the flexibility of having my hands free and being able to have access to my stuff without any problems.

;) I also have to say that I won't take a picture with me wearing one. :rotfl:

I DID fannypack it...until I found a Mickey messenger bag. :thumbsup2
Love it!!

guilty.. but i make my husband wear it LOL
im too cool for a fanny pack!!!! :cool1:.. .. the truth i carry the diaper bag he carried the fanny pack :)

My DH is a big fanny packer...but now he has a different bag that I call his Murse or man-purse. I love to tease him! Just be careful to NEVER leave anything in the bottom of your stroller when parking it. On our last trip we purchased pictures from the Tower of Terror (it was really cute because DS had his eyes squeeze shut so tightly I'm surprise he was able to open them again). Anyway -- we went to dinner at 50s PTC. We parked the stroller and left the bag with the picture in the bottom of the stroller. We checked in and came back to the stroller and our bag was gone. I'm sure if I had checked nearby garbage cans I would have found it as it wasn't a great prize...but I didn't. We went to the security (?) office at DHS and they replaced the picture for us free of charge. It was dumb of me to leave it there, but I didn't want it to get crushed in my diaper bag...I won't make that mistake again!!

Guilty. Fannypacked before I had kids, and once the diaper bag/stroller was gone the fannypack was back:cool1: I love having my hands free!!

...cargo shorts are still en vogue enough that I have thus far avoided the fanny pack. I can fit way more in the 6 plus pockets of those shorts than in any fanny pack anyway. I typically have at least one camera (if not the video camera too), tissues, keys, blackberry, wallet, four ponchos (the super flat, super cheap dollar store kind), and anything else my wife doesn't feel like carrying.

I have always used the fanny pack on vacations and at theme parks. It's ugly, but so convenient. Backpacks make me nervous. I always thought I was silly worrying that someone could get into the bag, until a read a post on here about someone whose wallet was stolen while they stood watching the parade! So I just can't make myself use a backpack. BUT, I bought a cross body bag for our next trip. My only concern is that the strap will irritate my neck. I'm bringing the fanny pack just in case!

I did. My daughter laughed at me. We all shared a back pack that had the ponchos, water and all the big stuff in it. I was glad to have my fanny pack when we split up as I had my cell phone, chapstick, wipes and hand sanitizer in it. My camera case also was on the strap. I only wish I had taken it off on Main St when the Photopass guy took a family picture. :rotfl:

DH always uses one, but I gave up mine years ago. I have an Eastpack (I think Walmart brand) long cord, over the shoulder kind of bag. It has several zipper pockets that keep the small amount of stuff I take to the parks. I bought the darn thing at the Dollar Store!!! After the first trip with it, I ran out and picked up another so I could have a back-up in case this one gave out. 12+ vacations later, it is holding up as if it were new!

Funny story...our last Disney trip we asked my MIL and FIL to go with us. We never use fanny packs so I did not even think about it. Well the first morning of our trip we left our room and there is FIL strolling around POFQ with a big black faux leather fanny pack...spun around so that the pack is resting on his butt! I whispered to DH..."What is he thinking?!" DH just laughed and said, "You are the one who wanted to bring them." :lmao: We had a great time and I am so glad they went with us, but the fanny pack was funny!

Oh heavens no!! Hahahaha!! :rotfl: I don't care how "handy" it is, I will never ever use one! My mom had bought my little sister one a couple years ago - I wouldn't let her use it either (she was probably 8 at the time). I just...I dunno... fannypacks, mullets...lol...they sort of go in the same category for me...

I have a very big fanny pack that i bought at one of the hunting and fishing places it has 2 holders for water or anything small and a very big middle compartment i put my camcorder and other things in it is very accessable to take on and off this is why i like it sooo much.
