Tell me when to go in June

Hi there! Back from my super awesome trip to Disneyland with my best friend last week (it was seriously incredible), and am now pondering a June trip.

I'd be there with my whole family - kids, parents, husband. I've never experienced the grad night chaos before, so I don't know how that would play into things. The kids get out of school on June 1st, and I was thinking about surprising them with a trip the next day.

So should we go earlier in June and deal with Grad Nights, or should we go later in June (when it would likely be more busy, right?) and avoid them? We would probably have four full days in the parks.

Thanks for any words of wisdom!

Carsland will probably be opening mid-June. Good luck with that!

June is going to be CRAZY crowded no matter when you go this year. Carsland and Buena Vista Street are supposed to open right around then, so tons of people will be coming to see these new additions.

If anything, I would try and go later in June because then the SoCal AP holders will be blocked out and not be able to come to the parks. It'll be crowded still, but early-mid June may be even more. :scared1:

I would go early in June. June 15 is suppose to be the opening of Carsland, so if you go earlier than that--you will be facing less crowds, I think.

I think very early June will have less crowds because Cars Land won't be open yet. Though there could be some rides under refurbishment, and, well, Cars Land won't be open.

If you don't go early June, then definitely as late in June as you can. Though I imagine the parks will still be crowded even after blockouts take effect near the end of the month.

I guess it's a choice of if you want to deal with bigger crowds or miss Cars Land. If you're not planning to be back for more than 6 months, then I'd probably wait for Cars Land, even though it will be crowded. (If you ARE going to be back before a year is up, then I suggest you look into an Annual Pass. :) )

EDIT: Although, just got warning of 25,000 librarians descending upon Disneyland at the end of June... ;)

Our trip is from June 2nd thru June 9th and as of now I'm planning on going to the parks 4, 5, 6 and maybe 7th of June. The grad party starts after park closes 6, 7 and 8 of June, so we will not stay in the park later in the evening on the 6th and 7th. The Grads are allowed to come anytime during the day so I am hoping that most will not come until after 12:00pm because their party is suppose to start at around 11:00 pm untill wee hours of the mourning. If I decide to go on June 7th I think I will go to the Morning Magic hour to give me extra time in the parks.

This is what we are hoping for. We are going the first week of June, and hoping that people will stay away until Carsland opens. That's our plan, at least.

I'm having this debate with myself, too. I would like to see Carsland, and we have Deluxe APs and a reservation at the VGC from June 17-19, but hate crowds and will be elsewhere on the mainland from May 26-June 2, so could go as early as June 2 if we stayed off-site and head home sooner.

We're probably going to stick with the dates we have since DBF really wants to see Carsland and every trip I find it harder to stay off-site ...

Maybe we'll just do one or two Carsland rides in the morning (when I'm hoping they'll let on-site guests go into DCA early/give FPs like last year), then head over to DL for the rest of the day to try to avoid some of the crowd ...

If Carsland is not important to you, the earlier in June you go, the less crowded I think it's going to be.
