During our last trip, I couldn't get an ADR and it is clear that this place has become very popular. I was able to get an ADR for this trip but I'm not sure if it is all its cracked up to be. Needless to say, I've never dined here. So, can someone tell me if it will be worth the hype? What is so good about this place? Thanks in advance! :) :)

It was good. For me it was the prezel bread sticks, the prime rib and the creme brulee. :goodvibes

To put simply, the food there is just wonderful. Everything when we were there in Oct. was very fresh and very good. I've had quite a few steaks in my life time, and I have even worked at a high-end butchery so I know my steaks, and the ones at Le Cellier are fantastic. This of course is not to say that the other entrees on their menu are not excellent, but it is the steaks (and the cheese soup) that Le Cellier is known for.

My advice is to order a steak for your entree you will not be disapointed. Oh and please whatever you do, do not order your steak well done. Good steak is not meant to be eaten charred.

EVERYTHING :)

The cheese soup is great. The pretzel breat is great. The atmosphere is great and the food is outstanding too. One of the best steak's I have had.

the 20 oz ribeye is so good its scarey and the dessert sampler is the best. its the best deal on the dining plan and worth the price even if you are paying as you go

I agree, the ambiance and terrific wait staff are worth a visit as much as the delectable food is. I'd make a reservation there every trip if my husband would let me...

haha i always order medium rare... yum! :)

Besides the awesome cheese soup and the heavenly pretzel bread, I think the atmosphere is great. Its just out of the way of teh hustle and bustle of world showcase, not to mention the beaultiful scenary right outside. Its in its own little world.

everything here is great...from the service to the food to the atmosphere!! Definately a must do for us from now on!!!!

I have only been there once but it certainly lived up to its rave reviews. I certainly plan to return! The drinks were good, the cheese soup and pretzel sticks are awesome, and the shrimp appetizer was wicked! I have yet to try a steak there, but perhaps next time.

Hey...that's my order!!! I'm sitting here salivating just thinking about it!!!
The food is terrific, the service has been good pretty consistently for us, the atmosphere is wonderful. Even my 12 y/o dd who is incredibly picky loves to eat here. And some very nice wines also!!

I love Le Cellier! The filet mignon and the pretzel bread are "to die for!" The quality of the food is just excellent. My favorite restaurant at WDW.

I have to say in addition to excellent food we had excellent service on our visit.

Let me start of by saying that there are some aspects of Le Cellier that are not enjoyed by all. First, tables are very close to each and some folks don't like feeling like they are sitting with strangers. Second, it is a little dark in there. So if you like bright, cheery places, then this may not be for you.

Now that I got that little caveat off my chest, I will say that this is by far my favorite WDW dining experience. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The filet is absolutely top-notch. The cheddar cheese soup is the best soup that I have ever had. The breadsticks are phenomenal. The tomato stack is one of the more unusual appetizers that I have ever had, but it was very good. And the maple creme brulee...don't even get me started on how good that is. If you couldn't tell, what most people think makes this place so great is the incredible FOOD.

It is a little pricey, but if your budget can afford it, everyone should at least try Le Cellier once...jmho

I posted this response on another thread, but I'm going to repeat myself.

We were there for the first time last week for lunch. It was fine. I thought the atmosphere was very boring. Our food was fine - nothing special. We had the cheese soup - it was good. I had a steak burger and my DH and DS (19) had french dip sandwiches. Everything was fine. It didn't do anything for us at all - not the ambiance or the food.

I had high hopes, but to be honest, when we walked in the place, I was disappointed - kind of dark and very plain.

It wasn't bad - it just wasn't special - IMHO.

I am so torn about this one! The food all sounds divine...and the types of food my family loves. But....we do not enjoy sitting close to other diners. The debate continues... :confused3

The food is very good considering it is WDW. It takes too long to eat (2+ hours).
Restaurants as good as this at the same or lower price are plentiful where i live.

We were there a week ago tonight......One word...CHEESE SOUP! I cannot describe just how good it is, wish I had a bowl right now. It was worth it just for the soup.

The steak with maple barbecue sauce(on the side for me) was divine. So tender and cooked just right. And that chocolate cake....yummy!

Go! You'll see and taste for yourself.
