The search function is down and I really need to get a new pair of shoes to wear at Disney next month. My favorite Nikes' have had it!!!.....what do you recommend???
A really good walking shoe from Nike might be good, although I wore a pair of new shoes to Dinsney one time and had gotten killer blisters. Hope you have better luck with your new pair, I will never wear brand new again, they must be broken in first.
Good luck with whatever you decide to wear.
I think that shoes are extremely personal. My feet are going to love New Balance shoes, but hate Reebok. They both make good walking and jogging shoes, but my feet just feel better in the New Balance shoes.
I found that I did better last year in some walking sandals with socks than I did in my New Balance shoes. It just depends. Mickey
I have New Balance 991. VERY pricey ($100+), but it was recommended to me by my orthopedist when I had a bone spur on my heel. Let me tell you - they are sooooo comfortable from day one, like walking on clouds and they helped my spur very much (don't feel it anymore). They are wearing out now and I need a new pair. Will get them Vets. Weekend for our December trip, but really don't have to break them in. A+++++++ !!!!!!!
Nike' Air. I do have a pair of the New Balance and they're pretty comfy, I saw a lot of people in the park with them on. But, I have to say my Nike's are kickin' it for me now
I vote for Doc Marten's sandals. If they get wet, you aren't in socks and soggy all day. They are EXPENSIVE but last forever and are soooooooooo comfortable. As for a tennis shoe, K Swiss is my choice.
I don't recommend a NEW pair of shoes. You need to break them in a bit before going.
I highly suggest wearing sneakers with a lot of cushion. Walking in sandals may be convenient, but impractical considering the amount of walking you willbe doing. I prefer Reebok myself. And, Definately wear them in before you go. I find that new sneakers hurt my feet, especially on the top. But, once they are broken in, they are my best friend.
I have a pair of New Balance that are the most comfortable pair of sneakers I've ever owned. DH also wears New Balance. Last year, while waiting for rides or shows to start, I took notice of people's shoes. A lot of people were wearing New Balance sneakers.
You should defiantly not wear NEW shoes. Personaly The first time I went to disney I wore Skechers Second time I were Reebok. The third time I wore New Balance 678. Those were very comfortable.
The shoe I like the most is a Reebok or New Balance I suppose I didnt like the skechers to much.My mother wore Reebok classic and they was newshe got a blister on her toe it made her toe swell up like a ballon and turn upside down
I hope this helps you a little bit.Have a nice trip.
My wife and I bring two pairs of New Balance walking shoes each. We got caught one time in the rain and thankfully we decided to bring two pairs of sneakers for each of us. Our first pair got soaked. We find that New Balance is extremely comfortable and never a blister.
I bought a pair of Nike walking shoes last month and have been wearing them a lot to break them in (I normally don't wear sneakers - need a shoe with a little heel for achillies (sp) tendenittis), but these are fairly comfortable. I found a pair of Rockport Bryce Canyon sandels that I like too - they are adjustable with velcro straps on each side and over the toe and have a little bit of a raised heel area - and they were only $20.00 at out Rockport outlet store (DH bought boots, and I got my sandels 1/2 price.
DH swears by New Balance. I have Avia walkers. I think any shoe made for walking will do. We just got back and DH had no complaints about his NB's, DS suffered no blisters in his Reeboks, my daughter got one blister from her Payless specials and I on the last day started to feel a little pain in my heel and I wore Avias..........mind you I ALWAYS walk 5-10 miles in a given day and these were very well worn sneakers before we went. Good Luck!!
