These are my plans... Tell me if you think this is a good idea.
My wife and I are in our early to mid 40's and we currently own 310 DVC points split between 2 resorts. That is currently enough for our family of 5 based on our wants and free time. I would like to add on in the future for the day my wife and I have more time and the kids are grown. That way we could have more time away together and we can also take our family, which we pray will be growing, on DVC vacations. Ideally I would like to spend one month or so in a DVC studio during the winter with some points left for additional trips. One of the advantages we have, especially with Saratoga Springs, is that our contract will expire right about the time we receive our eternal reward if you know what I mean. I am not concerned about passing the contracts on to my children as I feel that taking on such an obligation is a decision they should make themselves. Anyways my plan is to add on points as we draw near to retirement assuming that the value of "used" points will be greatly reduced just about the time we can use them most. It seems almost ideal but I was wondering if anyone can foresee any snags along the road besides an early ticket to Glory which I know will be grand.
