Tell me what you love (and hate) about POR....

I enjoy every one of the MODs but PO-R is probably my favorite. I grew up camping every summer at Ft. WIlderness so the Bayou theme "feels like home" to me! One thing I dislike, however, is that when they renovated the rooms they did not add the great "privacy curtain" that draws around the sink area. This curtain can make the room so much more usable! We stayed at Carriibean Beach this spring and I couldn't quit talking about how great that curtain was! :) I am an early riser and like to get ready without bugging my family. It's also nice to be able to dress in a private space without cramming yourself into the tiny bathroom... So while I love PO-R, I miss that curtain!

Haven't stayed there since 2001. Loved the boat downtown, the walk between POR & POFQ, the Magnolia Terrace section, the quiet pool there, the bakery in the food court, & how spread out & beautifully themed the resort is. Did not love the bus service.

]Even my DH liked it. It was my first stay at an onsite resort. This year I am trying CBR for a change. Funny, whenever I try to go to Disney at the end of August, CSR sells out of the package first or they only have only waterview rooms available.

I stayed in Oak Manor at POR. I had a waterview room (which I did not request or pay for). I had a very short walk to check-in and Boatwrights. The best thing was my parking space. It was like valet parking every night.

The grounds were very peaceful and beautiful. I ran every morning. Therefore, I explored every inch of the property and POFQ. When I look at my pictures, I feel like I should just go back to POR this summer. It was a great place. I can't say anything bad about it except that I don't think the mousekeepers spoke English, since they never left me tissues when I asked for them. No big deal!

Have fun!

I stayed there last week... we had the curtain!!! (AB, Bldg 34)

Boatwrights is great- dinner AND breakfast!

LOVE EVERYTHING, HATE NOTHING!!!

We stayed in Alligator Bayou in 2000 and 2002, we returned to POR last month. I requested AB when the reservation was made, faxed request a week before arrival and upon arrival, but couldn't get connecting rooms close to the main building. We were given Magnolia Terrace . . . we were all disappointed . . . until we went into the section and into our rooms . . . ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!

Now the problem is I can't decide which section I LOVE more!?! IMO you can't go wrong with POR!!!

PS My dd10 like AB better. :cloud9:
