Tell me it's not impossible to do your laundry at the HRH!

Been hearing that the laundry facilities at the HRH are quite limited. Booked for a 10 day stay in June and the idea of bringing everything we own on vacation just doesn't appeal to me. Anyone have any tips? I'd even be willing to have the hotel do my laundry for us. Any idea how much such a service costs?

Thanks!

Hope it's cheaper than the Portofino. It was $2.50 to clean a pair of underwear!

Seriously, I think Barry said there was a laundramat nearby if you're desperate!

There are two laundry rooms at HRH, but they are small and it might be hard to find a free machine.

I've heard that there's only one washer and one dryer on each of the 2nd and 4th floors. Is this true?

Another reason HRH stinks, the hotel is layed out horribly! It's a walk getting from floor to floor and back down to the pool. Our room was on the third floor and the laundry is on the 2nd and 4th floors only. Yes, one washer one dryer :( I was hoping for washers closer to the pool but they aren't close at all.

Since there are only a couple of laundry rooms at the HRH, does anyone know of a laundromat relatively nearby? If we have our car, we could run out for a while to do the wash.

I've read that the pool is pretty shallow--obviously we should all just wash our clothes in the pool.

Seriously, we have occasionally washed a few things out in hotel sinks--there's even special detergent designed for that.

During spring break I stayed in room 4086, next to the wash room. Would have been real convenient to do wash, since I only saw it being used 2 times. Could have dropped my clothes in each evening if I wanted. You could always request a room near this one. It was real convenient near the elevator too.:)

I only saw one person in the 4th floor laundry the whole time we were there. Don't think it gets used too much.

Ditto on the no shows in the 4th floor laundry while we were there.
