Tell me I'll love All Star Sports (no haters)

All Star Sports was the first onsite resort we ever stayed at. We were there about 7 years ago for my daughter's cheerleading competition. We liked it! I do not recall hearing noises from the rooms around us, even though the place was jammed with competitors from all over. No one was being rude or pushy at the food court, or the pool. We thought the room was very cute and very disney. It was a great value! You will enjoy it too!
We too stayed for our first on property experience at Allstar sports. Our first year was 2000.In sept of that year during our last 2 days of our stay, abunch of high school footballers and cheergirls, stayed there.WE WERE MISERABLE until we checked out! I had to call security to quieten them down, which didn't help much. The only reason we stayed there,is because the other two values were full.Yeah,it was Disney and yeah,we had a good time, but when those kids came in,that was all I needed to never stay there again.Plus I am not into sports anymore,so that would not be where I would prefer to stay anymore.I'll stay at any of the other value resorts again, but not sports.
I know, you didn't want to hear anything negitive, but I'd rather be honest than lie.
But with your sports fans kids, you'll have a great time.Enjoy it,but consider the other value resorts as well.

Thanks for the honest opinion. It sounds like you had a major reason to look back on your stay as miserable. I did take the groups under consideration and these boards helped keep me informed. Lucky for me, there are no major groups going our week. Thanks again.

My excitement grows with each of your posts! Thanks so much! I can tell you understand my concern, or should I say my PAST concern.

I am no longer worried. Now my biggest problem is having to wait!

While all you All Star Sports folks are reading....will I be close enough to the food court and bus stop if I request the football section? What is the bus stop situation there? Are there multiple bus stops or just one at the main building?

i have stayed at surfs up 4 x's and at touchdown about 7 x's now.

touchdown is my fave. the two buildings are 10 and 7. 10 (gee, i think it is, would have to check the map to be sure) is closest to the street and food court.
the back side of 10 is secluded and not facing buildings in one section.
that is the area i always aim for.

what ever you do, stay away from the football field..........yikes, i tried it once this year and had to be moved the next day.
i go to the parks when the busses start and return when the parks close for the night.
when i go to bed, i want to sleep........the football field is active all the time, even after midnight. it was too much activity and noise for me. i requested a room change and received it. stayed in the same building. love touchdown for its location

Football section is great, we were there twice. Right between the food court/main pool area and the baseball pool. So two pools are within walking distance.

There is only one bus stop, in front of the food court/main building, close to the football section. We stayed there twice, had great experiences. Stayed at Pop this trip and was not nearly as satisfied as with all stars. We will be returning to the all stars in the future. They are really great for the price.
