I would not feel like a burden. I don't have allergies but the servers always ask the first night if anyone has food allergies. Also the wonderful part of cruising with extended family is that everyone can do their own thing but still have some together time. We have cruised with groups of 15 and 19 and both times, we stated up front, while still in the booking/planning stages, that we do not all have to hold hands the entire cruise and decide each activity by committee decision. Different ages enjoy different activities and it's ok to just say, "No thanks, I'd like to do something else."
It wasn't planned, but what ended up happening is that we'd all do different things each day and all meet in the MDR. It's all good. Enjoy your cruise and don't feel guilty.
