We are Disney Experts. We have those parks down to a Science.

We are Sea World & Universal Newbies & We are looking for advice on our first Sea World Visit from all you experts.

Our family will be staying at an on-site hotel and will have Quick Que.
We want to experience the park to its fullest..rides and shows!

We will be visiting in January & will be purchasing the Orlando Flex pass.

We are splitting our 8 night stay between HRH & either Residence Inn or SpringHill Suites) So we will be able to take advantage of the On-site hotel perks we get with both Hotels.

(Yes, I am an early over planner )

Please share your tips and tricks :) .

Seaworld is very much a go-with-the-flow kind of place :thumbsup2 . Its actually one of the reasons I love it so much. The super-planning that's needed to guarantee a good Disney vacation just isn't required for SeaWorld, particularly when you are well equipped with the Quick Queue passes as part of your onsite stay.

My best advice would be to determine the show schedules once park hours are released for your dates. Be sure to plan to see the shows you want to see, then fill in the holes with the rides and attractions SeaWorld offers.

Dolphin feeding, if that's on your wish list, should be done at park opening as its very popular and availability is limited.

With QQ in January, you should be able to walk on to most rides.

My must-do shows for a first visit would be One Ocean, Pets Ahoy, Clyde and Seamore, and Blue Horizons. I have also heard good things about Alure but I have not seen it myself.

If you have the all-day dining, be sure to take advantage of having your breakfast at the park as well.

It really is a different pace from Disney! I think you will be pleasantly surprised :) .

Forgot to add....I would also plan to arrive early and be there just before park opening.

Other than the dolphin feedings are there any other activities like that to do? I haven't been in over 20 years but I remember feeding sea lions.

We were just there in June. There was a big line for dolphin feedings. Also at the coasters, Manta and Kraken, and the Jewel of the nile water ride. At the Antarctica/penguins, there was also a big line. So I'd prioritize those first.

Our family's favorite attraction is the Clyde and Seamore show. It is extremely entertaining. Get there 15 minutes early, because the mime doing the preshow is really funny. Not what you think of when you think of mimes, trust me. The Shark Encounter, and Polar BEar area, is pretty awesome too.

We love Sea World!!!

So, if arriving at rope drop what order would you put the following attractions?

Antarctica
Dolphin Feeding
Manta
Kraken
Jewel of Nile water ride

Thanks!

Manta is the first coaster as you enter the park, so I might try that first. Then dolphin feeding. 3 and 4 would be kraken or Jewels of the Nile, either order.

I was greatly underwhelmed by Antarctica, so it wouldn't make my list. But it's probably something you want to see for yourself. The lines for it are very long due to extremely slow loading of the ride. The slow loading is probably intentional, since the space for viewing the penguins at the end is small.

Yes - I viewed Antarctica on youtube and understand the disappointment. However, my DD12 definitely wants to experience it so we will go.

I think I might do Antarctica, Manta, then dolphin feeding.

Any other suggestions? Thanks!!!

As a die hard Disney planner, you will find yourself planning things out and get there and realize you really didn't need to. But, it's okay, its what we're trained to do and would feel unprepared if we didn't! I got a little confused with the Jewel of the Nile discussion, I'm thinking the posters are referring to Atlantis. You really have to plan the day around the show times, and can easily do so if you have QQ. Work through the park based on show times and hit the rides in between...literally: physically/logistically between and time-wise between . You don't want to miss the shows!!
