Tell me how to get around from BC to BW, etc.

We went on an Illuminations cruise in 2000. From what I remember, the BW/BC/YC is a big circle around the lake (don't know name of that, either). Can you walk around the lake? I have this picture in my head of only getting to the BW from one way because the other way leads right to Epcot . Then I read somewhere about a walking path - where does that lead?

How long is the walk from BC to BW? To me it seemed so far away, but that's probably my poor memory.

Seriously you could find this info out by picking up any tour book or checking one of 3000 web sites.

Anna-To answer your question, there is a nice, wide path clear around the lake that goes all the way around from one resort to another. You can even rent surrey bikes at the BW to ride around. It's a very nice area to walk around and not a tough walk at all.

Here is a aerial photo that will help you. The walk way continues all around Crescent Lake. When you leave Epcot you can go straight ahead to the Beach Club then the Yacht Club.

Or you can hang a left and go to the Boardwalk. The Swan and Dolphin are located in between the Boardwalk and the Yacht Club.

I know I am asking for trouble by asking this question, but approximately how long of a walk is it between the hotels?

we took a boat and they said it was about five minutes from the beach club to the boardwalk. the boat would take longer, had another stop before the boardwalk.

I read somewhere that the walk to epcot is five minutes, but it looked longer, and the walk to MGM, I read, is about fifteen minutes. We took the boat from MGM to the boardwalk to check it out and then decided not to walk and took the boat back to epcot and then back to AKL. My kids love the boat ride.

From the Beach club to the Boardwalk is 5-10 minutes. You can go left towards Epcot and then cross the bridge to the other side. You can go right and walk past the Yacht club. After the Yacht club you will be going towards the Swan/Dolphin. Turn left on that bridge and you will be at the Boardwalk. From BC to Epcot is 5 minutes. From BC to Disney Studios 15-20 minutes. You will always beat the boat to the Studios because of all the stops along the way. But if it is hot, the boat is the way to go.

Thanks for all your help. I'm so looking forward to taking pictures around Crescent Lake. We have so many pictures of the monorail resort area that it will be nice to now have different backgrounds!!

My kids are really looking forward to SAB in the heat of August!
