I'm thinking to stay in the Nickelodeon Suites Resort! But I need info about Nickelodeon Suites Resort! Did anyone stayed in this hotel before! I wish to stay but I don't know! It's for Dec 2010!

I stayed their 4 years ago. We had a 3 bedroom suite. The kids room was cute...bunk beds and Jimmy Neutron theme. the main lobby has a food court, gift shop, buffet restaurant and arcade. They also had shows...old style Nick game shows...very cute. the pool area was nice, but the sprinkler park was freezing. the manager told us that they installed an improper heating system that couldn't keep up with the volume of water. From what I have read, that seems to have been fixed. The room was clean and basic. They did a slime show by the pool. The characters can often be found in the lobby. If you have kids that are into the Nick stuff, it was a great hotel. Any specific questions?

If you are staying there for you it sucks, if you are staying there for the kids they will think it's awesome.

We use it as an add and extra day or 2 before or after a weeks stay else where. It's perfect (and it's just not a place to sleep, we don't leave) for that. I would not want to spend a week there.

Set your expectations low (food is OK and the rooms are not 5 star), you'll be OK, the kids will love it, and trips like these are all about the kids...... right?

I will tell you its alot of lugging around if you are only staying 1 night especially if you have alot of luggage & stuff. We stayed for 2 nights and i will admit i totally hated it the first day. It is like a glorified holiday inn. We also didnt like the cafe for dinner so went off property both nights to eat, only ate lunch there. The second day i had a much better time because i wasnt exhausted from packing & unpacking and it was sunny. The first day was on & off rain so the kids didnt really use the park until later that night. The above poster is right you may hate it but it is for the kids. In the end Im glad i went and i did get used to the room after a while (at first i wasnt happy) and could have stayed longer if i had to. I dont think we would go again though, rather spend more time at Disney which we are doing this year.

I agree with this summary exactly.

I totally agree too!! Its definitely not the best place for parents, but the kids will LOVE it.
Our last stay, we had a few issues...one of which was that the pool was so crowded everyday that we couldn't ever find even 1 chair! Frustrating when that's what you're there for. I had a few other complaints too, so I wrote them and they sent a very cute Spongebob bucket filled with goodies for my kids....so YES, its definitely for the happiness of your children!
We also were sucked in by a few of the crafts they had during one afternoon. VERY expensive and not the best quality.
The room is tiny and just basic...nothing fancy. The food is also just average, but what do you expect when you're eating with Spongebob! :confused3
Good luck!

If it seems like a glorified Holiday Inn it's because thats what it used to be!!! That being said the pool area is fantastic if your 13 or younger and the food court is fine. Rooms are a livingroom/kitchenette with hide a bed. The master bedroomis like any secound bedroom at home and the kids room is the size of an oversized walkin closet. This room has the most themeing and has bunk beds. The bathroom is larger than most. The only problem is there is nothing within walking distance so you will need a car if you want to eat else ware. Have fun.

We also stayed there while it was still with Holiday Inn. The pool was cold, but the kids had a great time. I was able to get work done in my room as the internet, at the time, was free at all Holiday Inns.
Since it's no longer with Holiday Inns, we won't be staying there again as we like to use our Priority Club points for free hotel nights.
Holiday Inn has just opened a new location at Downtown Disney that I plan to visit on our next trip in 2011. (or sooner if we win the lottery!)

We did our last stay at the Nick on points also. We are on the same plan for the
the new HI at DTD for 2 days to add to our up coming week in Nov. I'll be sure to report back on the hotel.

Last trip we did 2 nights at the CP near Universal (was pleased with the hotel, but it's way more a business hotel than a vaycay hotel).

Back to the OP, last trip I had steak for dinner one night and fish the other, not cheap but was good. Others in our group ate the buffet and their response when asked was the food was meh.
but the pool was fun fun fun :thumbsup2

Be aware of buses.

We went to Sea World one day and there was only one pick up time.
(its not like Disney where the buses come every 10 minutes)
Anyway the bus never came back to pick us up.

The hotel did pay us back for the taxi we had to take back to hotel.

Ed J hit the nail on the head. But I must admit that we normally leave for at least one meal outside.

The pool was cold

This was not our experience, for the main pool. We went the end of Jan. The air temp was in the 70s during the day and dropped as the sun went down. The 2nd pool was not keeping its temp by 5pm so they shut it down. The main pool was 86 degrees.
I was pleasently socked that we got to swim our first night after starting our day at our home where it was 5degrees. It was a cold run to the room afterwards....

we have stayed there twice, rooms are ok, nice themed, bit small, character breakfast is great kids loved it, omlette station is yummy, they have a pizza hut takeaway and another reasturant on site, there loads of small things like hair braiding etc, and the kids could spend all day at the pools, does get busy though, i agree its a add on, rather than a full week thing, but still nice.

I agree with the people on this post. We will NOT stay here again. We were here for two nights in Oct 09 in a Spongebob suite for my two boys that are addicted to the show! After one day here, they were bored and opted to upgrade and add another day to our Disney passes. Rooms are VERY small, you can hear all the outside noise and neighboring rooms. Characters are really extinct unless you go to the character breakfast, we did to guarantee meeting Spongebob. Yes they get to see characters but food is way overpriced and not great. Disney is better comparatively for their character meals. There is very little to choose from for food choices. There was a coffee shop that I really wanted to visit but was never open for three days straight. What a way to piss off the parents. The whole second set of slides was closed because they said they weren't that crowded... could have fooled me!!! For the price we payed.. not worth it. Next time we visit we will stay the additional days at our rental home in Windsor Hills which we LOVED!!!
