Tell me again...which day is it that is best for booking flights???

I read somewhere about the best times that airlines have for booking flights, but can't remember where I saw it. It seems like it was on Tues or Wed, but not sure. Anyone know what I am talking about?

We fly Southwest and I find that they lower their prices on Tuesday and usually stays there until maybe Thursday. The highest prices are on the weekends.

Tuesday evening/Wednesday in general, but I've seen drops on Thursdays and Fridays too. Weekends are not the time to buy, but buying airfare is always a gamble. I always choose Jetblue since I can get a credit if the fare drops. I had a drop this week for my trip in 2 weeks and our family ended up with an $80 credit. Our return flight dropped to $69! I didn't see that coming at all. I use Yapta to help track fare drops for flights I've purchased and flights I hope to purchase.

I don't think day of the week matters at all. My JB flights just went down this morning and it's Saturday! I never expected that!
