I'm in the market for a new iPhone case. Do you like yours? Tell me what kind you have and what you like about it.

Right now I have a pretty generic rubbery case, and it works OK. However, it seems to attract lint like crazy, which annoys me, LOL. So I'd like a new one, preferably one that's not too big or clunky.

Can't really help because I have the OtterBox Defender. I love it but it does make the phone larger and clunky.

I have a Speck case that's plastic on the outside and silicon on the inside, with a clear stick-on screen protector. It was $30 at Target and comes in turquoise, pink, white, black, etc (I got turquoise).

I bought mine at the kiosk at the mall. $20. Hard case, kind of a lumenescent royal blue. Love it!

Dh has the inCase Slider, which I love. I have some Incipio thing, which I hate.

I'm just too cheap to spend $30 on a new case when mine is technically fine.

I have the OtterBox Defender on my iPhone and I would not settle for anything less. It gives some degree of water protection. But the best part is that I can (and have, several times) drop it on the blacktop at a store, kick it half-way down an aisle in Wal-Mart, or anything that could destroy my expensive phone and there has been no damage. It costs more than other products at $50, but it is worth every penny. They actually started selling them at the AT&T kiosks in our mall now. I just wish I could buy a different color skin. I have black and would like a blue one to wrap around the hard shell, but alas, no such luck.

My DD doesn't have an iPhone but she got a clear plastic cover style both for her IPod and for her cell-phone and they work great, I like them more than the rubbery ones.

agnes!

Thanks for all the great recommendations! Now I've got several styles to research.

This is what I have, not clunky at all. Mine is purple and I found it on Amazon for $14.00. I did have DH take sharp pen knife and cut out the little volume cover because it would constantly turn my ringer down.

I am an admitted case ***** and tend to cycle through them regularly depending on what I feel like looking at that particular day. These are some of my favorites:

Speck CandyShell (speckproducts.com) - has a hard plastic outer shell and a soft rubberized inner shell, so it both protects against scratches and impacts from falls. It comes in a bunch of colors and if you use Twitter, sign up to follow them, as they often tweet discount codes, including fun "theme" ones (e.g., for Valentine's Day, they gave out a code that gave you 25% off any red, pink, or purple case). This case is one of the bulkier ones out there (though not obnoxious by any means) but provides outstanding protection, especially if you're prone to the occasional drop.

(these are the new colors...IMO, the earlier ones were nicer, so check the site to see all options available)

Incipio NGP (Next Generation Polymer) - is a so-called "soft plastic" case. Probably my favorite so far; I'm using a knockoff NGP right now only because Incipio didn't offer the color I was looking for (bright, sunshiny golden yellow). I've been switching back and forth between it and the pink NGP for weeks now.

iSkin Solo FX - similar to the NGP; it's just available in a different style and brighter colors. There are TONS of knockoffs available on ebay/Amazon, but be careful which ones you buy if you decide to give them a try. Some obviously didn't use a lot of care with regard to button coverings, cutouts, etc. I have 2 knockoff cases that are totally unusable because one presses constantly on the sleep/wake button, and the other does the same on the volume rocker. EXTREMELY annoying.

I know a lot of people like the InCase Slider, but after hearing horror stories about deep scratches caused by this case on the backs of people's phones, I've stayed the heck away from it.

I've also tried and liked the iFrogz Luxe and the Incipio Feather, but keep coming back to the NGP/iSkin-type cases. I just dig 'em. :goodvibes

Oh, and a site that I've found that's good to deal with is WirelessRage.com. They have pretty much every style imaginable, and also tweet out discount codes and announce when they get new styles in.

OK, apparently the filter didn't like my self-description, so I amend it to say that I am a case "lady of the night."

I have to admit, I have tried just about everything mentioned above. I have tried the hard or smooth rubber cases, does not have great grip, and they have fallen out my my pocketbook.
I finally found one, and have been using them, in different colors for over a year now.
it is speck pixel

I got my first one at the apple store then found them on amazon for much cheaper!!
it has a NO SLIDE case and and awesome grip, more so then any case I have tried!!!

I have had my phone for well over 2 years ,and never used a cover. I don't understand why I would want to ruin the sleekness of the design.........

I have the inCase slider in black. I have a clear film cover on it also. I'm sometimes clumsy and so far my phone is fine. I do admit to dropping it a few times but don't tell anyone. :rolleyes1

I purchased an i phone case from Ross stores where it covers front and back by snapping shut. The front has a stainless steel look. I love my case and protects my phone which I have dropped several times.

I purchased it for $4.99:)

I feel that way too, but I wanted a case to protect mine. My husband's is all scratched up and doesn't look so great, so I wanted to keep mine nice and pretty and shiny. Also when I type or play games, I can't get a good grip on it. My case makes it easier to grip.

I have this iPhone case and I love it! The only bad part is there are only three colors - black, pink and white. I have the black one.

I had a case (not the one mentioned above) for a couple of months when I originally got my iPhone, and the first time I dropped my phone the case completely broke. When I took that case off, I noticed a bunch of scratches on the back of my phone. I was not too happy.

The case I have now is amazing. It does collect a little bit of lint at first, but after a week or so the case becomes worn in enough and the lint-collection stops. I love that it covers & protects every inch of the phone except for the screen (it does come with a great screen cover though). It is slightly bulky, but it doesn't bother me. It's not the bulkiest case on the market, but definitely not the slimmest. I've been using it since October and I haven't gotten a single scratch on my phone other than the ones that my old case caused. I've dropped my phone a couple of times since then and the case has protected it perfectly.
