I'm starting to plan our first to trip DL this coming October so I'm trying to get an idea of what's the best things to do, places to eat, etc...

We've pretty much already decided on staying at the HoJo across the street, unless our January trip to DW leaves us with extra points, then we'll stay at GCV. We'll arrive on Sunday and leave Thursday, with our park days Mon-Thurs. I'm 100% sure if we'll do MNSSHP, but probably not. It'll be myself, DH and our then almost 3 year old.

So please tell me, what would your ideal day be like at DL? What's on your do-not miss list for rides, shows, attractions, and food to eat?

If I was a WDW vet coming to DLR for the first time, I would be sure to hit those attractions/shows/experiences that are unique to DLR (Matterhorn, Indy, etc). Also, check out this thread for WDW vets who are visiting DLR for the first time. Lots of good info there.

Most of all, don't stress out about planning every second of your trip. DLR is more laid back. Park hopping is very easy and dining reservations do not need to be made so far in advance.

Lastly, some duplicate attractions are much better at DLR than WDW. If open during your visit, I would definitely do Pirates, Space, Grizzly River Run (like Kali, but much better) and Fantasmic. Have a great time! :goodvibes
