I know room requests are just that and not guaranteed but would like to know which section and building you liked and why ? Or didn't like.
Trying this resort out in Dec. and kind of nervous. I have never even been there to just walk around so I know little about it other than Buzz's website (which is nice). :) and things I have read here on the boards. Thanks. :wave2:

Cabana 8a was awesome. We were the 2nd floor at 8257. It is a corner room with two windows.

We were literally steps from the main pool, and very close to bus stop 4. We were also close to the parking lot as well.

It was only a 5-7 min. walk (slow walking) to the main area.

We've stayed in Cabanas 8A, 9B and 9A as well as Casitas 3.

My favorite building in terms of theming and atmosphere is Casitas 3. It is very calm and quiet, beautiful with courtyards, fountains and incredible landscaping. Casitas 3 is the closest building to El Centro (Pepper Market Food Court, La Tienda Store, Panchitos gifts and Maya Grill) Though its about a 8 minute walk from the Dig Site pool. However, now CSR has introduced a shuttle service of little golf carts that circle Lago Dorado and will gladly take you to the pool and then back to your room :)

The Cabanas are great too! The theming just seems to similar to Caribbean Beach to us. We loved CBR and stayed there for many years, but when we switched over to CSR we fell in love with the mexican/ southwestern feeling of the Casitas. We just didn't get as much of that from the Cabanas. Many feel that Cabanas 9A is the best building at CSR because it is located right between El Centro and the Dig Site and is very near 2 bus stops.

Whatever your choice im sure you'll love CSR! :) If you have any more questions please feel free to pm me or visit the Coronado Springs FAQ Thread

Thanks Tinkerbelle and Cindy B--
Uggggg learning a new resort :crazy2:
Thanks guys. :)

We have been in Casita Bldg 3 twice now. Love the location and theming...once had a lovely room right off the courtyard on the ground floor....could see the fountain right outside the window (although on the ground floor I always felt sort of "on display" with the curtain open.

The other time we were at the far end of the bldg facing the parking lot, 2nd or 3rd floor...not quite as charming...but still fine. Both rooms were very close to El Centro which was great, but a small hike to a bus stop and the main pool area. I still like the Casitas best!!

All 3 times we have stayed at CSR we have stayed in the Casitas and this is the area we prefer. in July our room was right off the lake and we loved the location. It was perfect!! :flower:

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site over the wooden bridge. Most convenient, most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building.

cabana 8b and 9a are inbetween the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

The casitas are close to the gym, spa and have great fountains and courtyards. casita 5 is close to the Dig Site with a good walk to the main building. The lower the casita number the closer towards the main building. Casta 4 has a quiet pool.

What is your favorite building Buzz when you go ????

We stayed in Ranchos 6B (it was a business trip through my dh's company, so we couldn't request anything). We really enjoyed the atmosphere back there, it was an easy walk to either the quiet pool or the dig site, and we had an easy walk to bus stop 3. However, the walk to El Centro was long. If it were just dh and I, we wouldn't have cared. But, I was pregnant, and we had our almost 3-year-old, so it made it a bit more rough of a walk.

Just got back on Sunday from a 3 night stay in Casitas 5. Very close to bus stop #2, a leisurely 10 minute walk to El Centro, and about 10 from the Dig Site. Nice room, pretty buildings, beautiful courtyard, would definetely stay there again.

We stayed in Casitas #5. We had a lake view. There was also a small courtyard with a beautiful fountain right below us. It was very quiet and peaceful. A 5-10 minute to the food court and same to the main pool. There was a bus stop 3-5 minutes from the room. We liked this resort--the grounds are beautiful :flower: Enjoy your stay.

We loved Ranchos 6B is was close to a quiet pool and very close to the dig site and a bus stop out the back. It was also close to the walkway around the lake which was nice.

We stayed in 6b. It is nice too. We were on the back side so we were close to the dig site.

We were on teh side facing away from the quiet pool you walked out our door and had to turn the corner to go over to the pool.

Buzz mentinoed that 9a was a smoking optional building. Does anyone know or have a list of which buildings are all non-smoking rooms? We'll be there in early December and have a non smoking room on our request. I've been trying to find out which buildings we might end up in.
Thanks!
Julie

Just got back from there today. Stayed at Cabana 9B and liked it pretty well. The walkway around the rooms are connected to the main pathways via winding paths which slows down trips to El Centro etc. a bit. There was a quiet pool around there someplace but I never saw it. It was a bit of a hike to the dig site but not bad. My only tiny complaints about the location of Cabana 9B is that the parking lot is a bit of a distance (we had a car and moved luggage ourselves). Also the ice machine was a good distance from the room. I think all the villages look good--I liked the way the Ranchos looked especially and they might be a good choice if you are driving yourself a lot, or if you don't need to go to El Centro much.

It was an excellent resort and the staff there were wonderful. The Pepper Market is good too.

We stayed in 9B before. Great location.

We have stayed in Cabanas #8 & #9 and really liked both of those buildings. But our favorite is the Casitas #3, 3rd or 4th floor. The buildings are beautiful at night with the courtyards and fountains all lit-up, very peaceful and quiet. Its also close to the health club/spa, quiet pool and a short walk to the main building.
Also everytime we have requested this building, we have gotten it. :goodvibes

We'll also be at CSR in Dec. Does anyone know how good they are at granting building requests? I would really like to be in Casitas 3, but could live with Cabanas 9b or 8a. Living in Texas I really don't like the look of the Ranchos, besides which my mom will be with me and will have an ECV, which means we probably wouldn't be able to use the interresort transportation, so I'd have some long walks from the Ranchos. We would really like to be as close as possible to the main buildings. It looks like it's a beautiful resort (except for the Ranchos). We'll be doing a split stay between POFQ and CSR. Can't wait!
