I am meeting my girlfriend at the airport in Orlando. She is flying from Toronto via Air Canada.

Her flight arrives in Orlando at 12:45pm. Approx. how long will it take her to get "out" of the airport, like actually be able to leave the airport with bags in hand?

Anyone have experience with this?

It will be in late July, so high season. I need to figure out what time to meet her.

TIA!:thumbsup2

You can actually go up and meet her before she gets her bags! She will arrive in the terminal and have to take the shuttle to baggage claim to wait for her bags. You can meet her in the main hub after she gets off the shuttle (that takes about 8-10 minutes after plane arrives at the gate) and then go down and wait for bags together:)

We found Orlando airport to be slow with our bags but we arrived at after 11:00 pm so maybe that isn't even bad. I think it tooks us 45-60 min after landing to get to the Hyatt in the airport. Hopefully someone with a daytime flight can better assist.

Agreed! If you do meet in the baggage claim area in Orlando, it is pretty big and crowded, so I suggest you get one of those white boards you can hold up (like the limo drivers) and put her last name on it. Then stand near the bottom of the escalator.

When my friend and I went down in 2010, we waited for my sister at the bottom of the stairs near the escalators. We got there WAY early because it was only her second time flying, so we didn't want to be late. It didn't seem to take to long to get her bags, but the 8-10 minutes after the flight landed seems about right for the time for her to get to the baggage carousels. We didn't need a sign or anything, it wasn't too busy.

Make sure you know if she is coming in to A or B as there are 2 baggage claim areas. Each area has several belts.

Good point! Air Canada is always on the opposite side of Disney's Magical Express, so I think DME is side B, which would make AC side A, right?
