ok..I asked about the Firm tapes a few weeks back and made a comment about seeing the WATP infomercial (not the whole thing) and it looked like all they did was march. I am doing the treadmill for 45 min at 3.7-4.0 mph and was just looking for something differnt to throw in the mix. I saw the set at Sam's club for $29.97 , 1,2,3 mile tapes.

I'm in no means an athlete but do you think these tapes are challenging enough? Is it more than marching in your living room? do they do other types of 'moves'? can you give an example....

Thanks!!

I have the 1, 2, 3 mile set--mostly I do the 2 miler. The one mile is about 22 mins, the 2 is about 30 and the 3 is about 45. You walk, do knee lifts, kickbacks, kicks, and you use your arms for much of the tape and she uses weights for about 1/3 of each tape. We have a group doing it here at work and we all feel like it is a good, fun workout.

Hope this helps!

I think if you use the weights during the tapes, it is challenging. I like that I work up a good sweat, I don't get bored with it, and the moves are so simple that I don't feel like a klutz!

Some of these workouts require you to either be a professional dancer or one of those people who can bend yourself into a pretzel!! :D I just don't enjoy those types of workouts.

I have the 2 and 3 mile express tapes, she uses the strechie band towards the end of the last mile. I really like them.
When I do the 2 miles I use my weights during the first mile to give me a little bit more of a work out.

I love my WATP! I'm up to the 3 mile and it's challenging with the weights, definitely! I also have the 4 mile without weights that I love as well. I think you may get a better price elsewhere, though. That sounds a wee bit expensive. I got my 1, 2 and 3 mile DVD set at Target for $19.99.

HTH!

I really like the 3 mile. From your treadmill description, I think the 1 and 2 mile might be too easy for you. That said I used the 2 mile one day when I was feeling sick and it was just what I needed. However, for the most part I wish I had just bought the 3 mile.

I have a few WATP tapes and many of the Firm tapes. I love my WATP tapes! Depending on how much time I have there is a tape I can do. I have 1, 2, 3, and 4 mile tapes. I have done the Firm tapes off and on over the past few years and I have a much harder time getting motivated to do those than I do getting motivated to do WATP. Most of the Firm tapes seem to be between 45-60 min. and I often have a hard time finding that much time to do an exercise tape. I feel like I get a good workout doing my WATP tapes because of the varying movements it incorporates and they are easy for me, a very uncoordinated person, to follow.
