Tell me about Trader Sam's

I am a Tiki bar nut. I will have my son with me, is it child-friendly enough?

How do I get here from the park? I haven't stayed at the Disneyland Hotel since I was a kid, so I am unfamiliar with the area.

Thank you for posting this thread I have similar questions. If I can piggyback and also ask when is a good time to go to get seating inside?

Kids are allowed until 8pm when it turns into a 21 and over bar.

I highly recommend going early - between 1pm-3pm for the best chance at easy seating. That is when DH and I typically go as it is small inside and limited tables/bar seating. We usually leave by 5-6pm and by then people are usually waiting to grab a table.

It's located at the Disneyland Hotel - so if you get off at the monorail for example just go to your right and you will pass by Rainforest Cafe and ESPN zone and soon see the huge sorcerer's hat and Disneyland hotel. Follow the signs ( they are very well posted) and keep to the left when it forks and you will find it really easily.

It is quite kid friendly until 8pm as stated above. Fun effects all around and the bartenders are fun also

It's easily my favorite place outside of the parks on property.

It is really very fun for kids -- they willl love it. Seconding the previous comments.

Dinner time, you'll wait for 45mins for a table outside, and not be able to get inside. It is VERY limited seating.

This is great information and will be, to borrow from WDW, a “must do” for the adults after 8pm or a fun family break for everyone before 8pm.

this place is so popular they they are now creating one at they Poly in WDW! can't wait to visit the DL one this fall and see what they come up with in WDW.
