Tell me about the pools at Port Orleans

Our DS13 and DD7 are both excellent swimmers, and the pool atmosphere is pretty important to us.

We've never been to either Port Orleans resort, and wanted to try one of them this year. We really love Coronado Springs, and we also enjoyed Caribbean Beach. We just wanted to try something different this year.

Can anyone tell us more about the pools? We love the slide and pool at CSR. Any comparison?

I understand that POFQ only has one pool, and POR has a main pool, along with quiet pools. What are the slides like? We will probably make our decision between which one (POFQ or POR) based on the pool, so I'll take all the advice I can get.

Since POR and POFQ are sister resorts, you can use the pools at either one regardless of which one you choose for your stay. Enjoy!

My kids are 7 and 11 and they liked the POR pool much better, it's like swimming in the jungle kinda with all the trees and the waterfall and stuff. The POFQ is a more wide open atmosphere, Here are some pics of the POR pool !!

We stayed at POR last September and my kids (3 and 5 at the time) loved the slide at POR better than POFQ. I think the slide at French Quarter is more mild.

Both slides are pretty tame in comparison to the slide at CSR.

we have enjoyed bolth resort pools and it IS the most important thing about a resort to my husband and kids!!!

but nothin beats a day at one of the water parks

Pools are important to me and the kids as we dont spend full days in the water park as DH hates swimming and we hate to seperate on vacation. POR has the best pool IMHO. Its like being in the middle of nowhere as you have to cross thte bridge to get to the island its on. POFQ slide and pool are more for younger kids.
