Today I got an email to register for a DVC event at SSR which I'm guessing is a sales pitch.
It asked about dietary requirements. We went to such an event for BLT and got fastpasses and DVC swag. I don't remember food though.
It has several time slots starting at 4 pm over Wednesday and Thursday of our week there.
Anyone know about this? ie Is it worth my time?

I am passing....There are just too many things on my schedule for Wednesday and we leave on Thursday. If I had the time, I would go.

Is it possible to get the subject line of the email? I'm interested in going but did not receive one. Or, if there's a link, link me please!

I am a full member with extras, FWIW. I'm guessing I didn't get the email because I live in CA.

Thanks!

We were there last week and there were informal member walkthroughs at 2 and 3 PM daily. I would imagine those will continue. No pitch, just walk through and have a look. I went twice. The second day at 3 we were perhaps 10 or 12 and it was easy to have a careful look around. The folks manning the kiosks let us know about them. Oh, we did not get an email either.

We went to this on Wednesday of this week. It was held in the DVC Preview Center at SSR. We checked in and got name tags. They had some light refreshments - 2 or 3 small food items and then 2 or 3 dessert items along with non-alcoholic beverages. We had about 10 minutes or so to snack and mill around the lobby area while a musician was playing songs on a violin. Then we all went into a second room - there were maybe 50 people or so - and Deevy See gave a quick presentation (we hadn't seen her in many years - I thought she was gone) and they showed a promo video for Riviera. Then they called us up by family and sent you off with a guide to tour the villas. They have a model studio and one bedroom. Of personal note, we thought the one bedroom was really quite beautiful and well done. Anyways we then got guided back to a small room and given the pricing info. No pressure, we just looked at the sheet and then took it and left. You had the option to get ice cream from the ice cream parlor there but there were no gifts or any other free items that we saw or received. Overall it was okay - glad we got to see the model villas, but you're not missing anything else at this event, and I'm sure you can drop by for a tour at a time that works better and you won't be sharing the space with 50 other members. Hope this helps!

We were there the same day. If you’re not interested in seeing Deevy See, it’s probably not worth leaving the parks. We thought the food might be enough for light dinner, but it wasn’t and my kids had no interest in any of it, so we stopped at McDonalds in our way back to AK.
