My wife and I are spending a week in Paris in November for our 10th anniversary. We are planning to add-on two days at the end of the week to visit Disneyland Paris.

I've seen very mixed reviews about the quality of the Disneyland Hotel and so we are debating whether it is worth the significant price increase to stay there. We'll probably stay on property, but at around $1800 for two nights, it is far beyond the price of the other hotels. Its a special occasion, so I'm not against paying that much if the hotel is truly worth it.

Can anyone provide some thoughts about the hotel?

We stayed there at the end of September. We chose the hotel because we were travelling with a 3-year-old, and the location is perfect. I doubt I'd stay there again, though. I didn't think the hotel was particularly special. It was pretty, but I preferred the theming at the Sequoia Lodge. And until we discovered the shortcut to the parks, we had to endure a long walk to our room. The breakfast is good, but I wasn't too thrilled about all of the options. For the amount of money we paid, I expect something more special.

I do think that it would be nice for a special occasion, and Fantasia is a nice café. Another benefit is that you're spared the bag checks that everybody else has to go through.

People think it's nice but to me it's not $1800 worth nice for only 2 nights ! You could stay in a real 5* hotel for that in Paris - The DLH is not a 5* or even a 4* hotel - in real terms - there aren't all the typical extras that you get in hotels of this categorie/price range and you are paying for the name and the location.

What's your dates in November and I can see if I can see it cheaper on a French site ?

I've stayed there and for that price id choose a Golden Forest room at the Sequoia. The room theming is nicer in my opinion.

Plus you can always go for drinks or dinner in the Disneyland Hotel restaurant and bar and soak up the atmosphere that way

We adore it. Will stay there every trip if prices allow. Comparable to GF at WDW for us.

But $1800 sounds an awfully high price.

We've paid €900 for 2 nights and €1300 for 4. Have you checked the UK, Irish and French websites?
