There will be just 5 of us on our next trip in October. I read the Contemporary has rooms that allow 5?
What about dining, do they have a food court?
Let me know what you liked and disliked about it!
:)

The rooms can sleep 5. Most have two queen sized beds and a day bed. Currently, there is not a food court. There is a temporary quick food service stand that they set up, but it's not very good. Options are limited and the quality of the hot food is sub par. They are building a new food court, Chef Mickey's Express, that may be open next October.

As for what I liked, it's the convienience of the monorail, the views of the MK and Seven Seas Lagoon, watching Wishes from our balcony, the in room refrigerator, boat to Wilderness Lodge, large stylish rooms, free computers with internet service, the waterslide, architecture, and did I mention the monorail? :)

What I disliked...All the construction going on during our stay. It wasn't a major issue, but when paying the money it cost, I could have done without seeing it all. Seemed like we always stopped at two other resorts when taking the buses before we got to the park. The lack of a food court during my stay. Noise from chef mickeys could be heard, but wasn't TOO bad.

The negatives may seem bad, but they really were minor annoyances. The positives far outweighed the negatives for me, and I can't wait until I'm able to stay there again. I'm pegging Sept. 2009 :)

Likes ~ walking path to MK. To us, nothing beats going to a night show and being able to bypass any crowds and just walk back to our resort. Being so close to MK, it gave us the opportunity to walk there almost every day, even if just for a couple hours. We got to see and do a lot more than normal. We have young children so we're huge fans of Chef Mickey's, the character meal at Contemporary (CR). We loved having the option of eating there a few times, rather than just one set reservation like when we stay at a different resort and have to make a special trip to CR. We loved our spacious room, free computer and internet, beds were extremely comfortable, view of the MK was wonderful as we could watch Wishes every night from our balcony, we could also watch the water parade from our balcony. Loved looking across the water and seeing GF and Poly too. Of course the monorail is a great option, especially if you have a stroller because you can push your stroller right on and off the monorail.

Dislikes ~ I guess the biggest dislike I have is the cost to stay in the tower. However, it is simply the going rate and nothing personal against CR. Also, while we find the theme at CR "exciting," it's also not very appealing to the eye - it's not as attractive as Wilderness Lodge, for example, but then again it isn't supposed to be.

Good luck with your planning!

Likes: Magic Kingdom view in the Tower, walkway to the Magic Kingdom, amazing stores to shop at, wonderfull Cast Members, Monorail and the computers in every room with free internet access.

Dislikes: The only one I can think of is the new bathroom sinks they installed since the renovation of the rooms. It's not that big of a deal, however at times it can be annoying.

My likes and dislikes are pretty much the same as whats listed above, however I would add drinks/dining at California Grill to my likes list:)
