Tell me about the Carousel Inn vs. Desert Palms

We are starting to think about California for 2015 including a few days at Disneyland. We want to stay within walking distance to the parks, in a 2-room suite at a clean hotel that includes breakfast (decent breakfast, I know it won't be gourmet, haha!). To give you an idea, our family prefers hotel brands like Hilton and Marriott. We like hotels like the Homewood Suites, embassy suites, Springhill suites and residence inn. So something comparable would be perfect. We are also looking for a hotel with an outdoor pool, and interior corridors are preferred.

After looking at the area, I like the way the Carousel Inn and the Desert Palms both look, and their suites seem perfect for all of us. There will be a total of 11 people, two families each in suites, and my parents in their own regular room. I have read mixed reviews about both of these hotels. My sister likes the idea of the rooftop pool at the Carousel Inn but I like the way the Desert Palms looks for other things besides that. So we are trying to decide.

Any info on either the Carousel Inn or the Desert Palms would be great. Specifically, answering the following questions:

1. Are there interior corridors?
2. Is breakfast included at the Carousel Inn? If so, how is it?
3. Are the rooms clean?
4. How is the pool? Clean? Crowded?
5. Would you stay there again?
6. Anything to be aware of, either positive or negative?

A comparison would also be very much appreciated, if possible. Thanks in advance! :)

Hello, I actually work at the Carousel Inn so let me help.

1.We are an exterior corridor property
2. We do not offer a complimentary breakfast, The Pizza Press offers breakfast options may i reccomend the breakfast sandwiches (AMAZING)
3.Our rooms are decently clean, some mistakes are made (being honest)
4.Our pool is on the 6th floor rooftop, yes clean Ph and chlorine levels are tested three times daily
5.I have stayed on out property with my own family. The main building was built in the 80's so you can hear some noises during your stay.
6.We are really close to the entrance roughly a 5 minute walk. Negatives we do charge for Parking $11 and wifi $6 but always check our website for specials and that also includes the Carousel's facebook page.

Hope this helps :)
