I snagged a dinner reservation for the boathouse at Disney springs as it looks really nice.
do you eat on the boat? Waterfront dining?
Is there a dress code it looks fancy?
Just a little confused.
I snagged it for 4:15 on our animal kingdom day because that looks like it has the least amount of rides an/or stuff to do
Plus thursday is the actual anniversary date (20 years) and wanted to do something romantic even though it’s with our son lol

We just ate that for lunch on Friday and it was the best meal we ate. We booked through open table so there was a spot to say shaded outside area. Our seat was perfect overlooked water and tables were separated. We had the best waiter we have ever had ~ Alejandro. My husband had filet sliders, I had the Mahi sandwich (it was lent) my son had the steak and my daughter had the Mac n. Cheese w fries. My husband and daughter LOVED the jumbo shrimp. We may actually go back tomorrow for dinner too. The manager told me they have dueling pianos on fridayand Saturday nights and for Sunday brunch.

It is not fancy just casual attire. We had on shirts and shorts.

First of all Happy Anniversary!

The Boathouse is really great. There is one boat that I think is for a large group, I never sat in it but its pretty cool. The menu is beyond huge and the wait staff is so friendly and helpful. It can get very crowded even now under covid restrictions, I don't think you'll face that problem with the hour your eating. There is indoor and outdoor seating but I never ate outdoors yet.

We have been there about 6 times, were actually not eating there in June for our 30th Anniversary, its time for something different so we're going across the street to Wine Bar George this trip. It is a signature restaurant when the dining plan was around, so we dressed as if we were going to any of those locations. To be honest anything goes in there. The food is excellent, their known for the burgers and we actually have ordered it as an appetizer to share because its just that good!!! Drink recommendations are great as well, use the staff if your undecided their wonderful. Enjoy!

BTW very cute gift shop is attached and you also can also watch or go on the Amphicar

We have never been to Boathouse, but we are going on Easter during our trip. We have friends that have gone several times and love it. It’s not “fancy”...shorts and T-shirt’s are common according to our friends. Since it will be Easter, I will be wearing a collared shirt (with shorts). But any other day I would be wearing a T-shirt.

We ate there in 2019. The attire is casual. I had fish, I think supposed to be like fish n chips (sorry I don't remember the name) but it wasn't that good. The fish was soggy. I should of sent it back. My husband had a steak and he liked it. Daughter had a burger or something like that. I did have the lobster bisque which was great. The menu is extensive, heavy on the seafood side. I'd go back but probably just have the lobster bisque and a salad.

The bar seating on the dock way out over the water is for walkups only, so with a reservation you'll probably be indoors or just outside the building.

We also were lucky enough to snag a dinner reservation for our upcoming trip.

Happy Anniversary!

I can't think of a better restaurant to spend your anniversary. My husband and I celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary at the Boathouse. We were impressed with the service and the food was great. My husband had shrimp and I had the steak which was delicious. We were seated inside but the outside seating looks nice. Dress was casual. We make it a point to visit each trip we go on now. We never miss eating there and are never disappointed.

Absolutely the best place to eat in Disney World. All of the food is amazing, waiters spectacular and you do not have to dress up although flip flops and swim suits aren't appropriate. I spilled a small spot of something on the tablecloth and the waiter appeared instantly to offer a new tablecloth. That kind of service. Fun place to eat.

Love the food there and fairly reasonable. I always do the walk up and sit on the dock. Dress is casual. Guess i'm just repeating what everyone said haha. Congratulations and have a magical vacation.

Casual dress, the Boathouse is one of out all-time favorites, food and service-wise. Will be trying to book it tomorrow for our June trip.

Awesome! My wife and I are going for our 10th Anniversary in just a few weeks and we have a Boathouse reservation as well. I've never been so I'm super excited to check it out.

Top notch - we’ve been there twice... first time with two teenage boys and the second time we celebrated two anniversaries in November (25th and 30th); the meal was fabulous. We loved the calamari, bisque, crab cake, fish tacos, sliders, burgers, steaks, lobster, truffle fries, clam strips, and more. Drinks are wonderful, service is impeccable. First visit we sat in the restaurant and it was lovely. Second time we sat at a corner table on the patio and it was perfect... you’ll love it!

We've eaten there several times......it is always loud.
Last time they messed my order up....2 times! Took forever to get food. DH was done with his by the time mine came right.
We're avoiding it for now.
It is definitely casual.

I don't remember what we have eaten but we are always pleased with the food. We ate outside on the porch once, with a reservation (maybe the outdoor w/ reservation was a pre-covid option?).
Like most Disney restaurants, dress-code is casual.
I do remember sharing a piece of chocolate cake once for dessert that was huge and delicious. Rolls are very good too.
Enjoy.

Do they serve the full menu at the walk up section?

I'm so glad to see this! I'm debating trying to make a reservation for our (belated) 20th anniversary. In the meantime, I'm living vicariously through my oldest daughter and her boyfriend by treating them to a nice dinner out.

Look on OpenTable for reservations for many at DS. It's a great choice, I have Homecomin' booked but am seriously considering switching to Boathouse. There are tables inside the restaurant, including seating in a wooden boat and tables outside overlooking the water. Those fluffy rolls and firecracker shrimp .... Ahhhh. Happy Anniversary!

We just were at Disney in February. My DD and her boyfriend went to Disney before they were 21 and on this trip, since my daughter is now of legal drinking age, she requested this restaurant because she wanted the Duck Duck Razz cocktail. We went there and it was SO GOOD! We had shrimp, crab cakes, sliders, and salmon and everybody enjoyed what they ordered. And my daughter got her blue cocktail with the rubber duckie floating on top!
