Tell me about the $10 Store in DTD

When we were there in November, there were LOTS of good deals - but like any clearance type store, what's there today probably won't be tomorrow. I got 4 baseball hats for $10 (nice ones, too - a Tink trucker hat, a Minnie oversized brim white hat which I wouldn't wear anywhere else, but for WDW it was perfect, and 2 Pete's Garage hats which were perfect for my DS's).

I can hardly wait to go in December - our band is marching on the 27th, so I bet the Christmas stuff will be on clearance! :woohoo:

xraydave,
I agree with you about turning the kids loose in the Mickey Mart. You know that their limit will be $10 and they know whatever they choose will be their limit. I am definitely going ot let my boys check the place out. I might even find something nice for me!

It's also great if you are looking to bring something home for people. When we were there in December, they had these Mickey Mouse Club T.V. sets (which were actually salt and pepper shakers). They were in the 4 for $10 section. They also had Cheshire cat picture frams, and baseball caps. Also, the grab bags have quite a bit of stuff in them (but be prepared for duplicates if you buy more than 1 - I bought two and my mom thought one was for her so I ended up grabbing two more so she could have her own).

Although not as good as the Outlet Stores (boy I love those!) it still made for a good "bargain" shopping stop.

I just remembered! They also had photo frames from the NYC Disney Store!! If I didn't already buy 2 on my visit to NYC, I would have bought some more!!

I have to say when we were there this past Feb. it wasn't crowded or in any disarray. We found it to be tighty and neat. We did find some cute buys there, that I didn't see anywhere else in the parks. I got the cutest 'plastic' dinnerware set for my camper and some little tote purses and coin wallets that the girls back home raved over. My DD got her treasured Tink stationary and accessories there that was much lower than in the Tink Store in MK. So maybe they don't have discounted clothes and everyone is right...it's not a big store, but some of the stuff is really cute and has nice prices compared to most other places around Disney. I still say it is worth the stop. :thumbsup2

Youse Guys Moichandize at MGM, in the NY Street section, also has stuff that's $10 or less. A good place to tell the kids they can pick whatever they want!
Ooh, thanks for the info!
