We are considering doing a split stay for our upcoming trip between Shades of Green and Wilderness Lodge.

We stayed at SoG last trip with our then 11-month old. We rented a full size crib and play yard for her, both of which worked out beautifully. She had a comfortable place to sleep and a safe place to play.

I know that the WL rooms are much smaller in square footage. We're renting two standard rooms there to fit us all (2 adults, 2 teens, a 36-month old, and a 15-month old).

So I'm wondering what you parents of younger children have done while staying at WL. Have you just used the crib that the resort provides . . . which I assume is a standard Graco pack-n-play? Have you rented a full size crib from A Baby's Best Friend or someplace similar? Was there enough room for baby's equipment (stroller, etc.)?

I'm just trying to make a final decision about whether to split our stay, and the two logistical things that are tripping me up are the extra space for the babies and laundry (but that's another post!).

I know we would love the theming of WL, as well as the boat ride to the MK, proximity to Fort Wilderness, etc. But I'm just worried about some of the logistical issues that would probably be better at SoG. :confused3

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for bearing with me!!

Hi I am Grandma and we just got back having 3 courtyard view rooms at the WL with the grown children and our 3 Grandkiddies..One was 4 yrs old the second one 2 years old and the third one was 1... I was worried about being at the WL with the 3 little ones and we had a Blast.. It was so Great just to walk on the boat to the MK with 3 strollers so easy and they allow them to stay in the strollers. I worried about the lobby but they Loved the inside small bridge with the stream underneith. They would go in the one side of the bridge and out the other side which tired them out.. also, there are So many quiet sections on all floors to sit and rock them. oh, almost forgot on the 4th floor there was the best sheltered Huge balcony with Lots of seats to watch the water parade and you could hear it just Perfectly. I worried about my daughter and our son-in law with the 3 babies in one room but there was no problems at all. They had brought up from mousekeeping 2 metal porta cribs and the 4 year old slept in her own big bed. The kids had more fun chasing the big brown bunny that walks around the poolside grounds so that was fun for them. The food court was good but I wish they had kiddie hot dogs or hambergers, but they did like the chicken nuggets. They only went swimming once and we brought from home those baby floaties with the canopy and they were allowed but we held on to them but we couldn't get the 4 year old out of the kiddie pool with Grandpa she had a Blast. The busses were never crowded and we had the time of our lives so don't worry you will be just Fine. no more than fine.
