Got a great rate for the Portofino club level for the first weekend in June (302 for the first night and 269 for the second). We are trading in our two room standard Royal Pacific ressie for the deluxe room w/club access. Did I do the right thing? The price is about the same (a few dollars cheaper) than the two rooms at RPC. I figure with the breakfasts factored in I will be happy.

Are the deluxe club rooms nice? Is the lounge really far from the club rooms? What kind of snack offerings do they serve? We have stayed club at HRH and RPC but never Portofino. We have two teens and an 8 year old.

Any advice or comments would be appreciated.

Personally, with a party of 5, I would want the extra bathroom and stay in the 2 rooms at RPR.

I would have stuck with the two rooms as well. You are going to feel very crowded in the deluxe Portofino room. Club is fine but really, not worth it.

Their breakfast is basic pastries and cereals. Their lunch snack is a healthy granola fruit snack. Dinner is antipasta and cheeses with perhaps a hot dish, evening snack is cookies.

You are trading to a room with one bathroom that has all facilities inside of it. There is no sink outside so that two people can get ready at the same time. That might be an issue. The pullout is also very small.

Do you think the deluxe club would be allright for four people? What is the next step up roomwise after the deluxe?

There are two queen beds, a twin pullout and a bit of extra space. There is one bathroom with a tub, separate shower, double vanity.

The next step up would be a suite. That would give you another room with a queen pullout.

Thanks Damo. We are arriving May 28th. I just want to have as much space as possible between my husband and my mother:rolleyes: Especially when she starts her " this is nice but it's not disney....":confused3
The pictures you posted of the villa suite were beautiful. Thanks again for all your help.
