What exactly is a studio preferred view at BWV? What kind of view is it?

Thanks!

It can be of any of the pools, or the gardens. I had my very favorite studio two times...it was close to the elevators, on the 5th floor, overlooking the village green. It was a preferred view, but I got a nice view of the fireworks as well as the boardwalk. The standard views overlook the front drive/entranceway.

goofy4tink, we just returned from a BWV studio Room #5055 on 9/27 and had that same view. What a great room. Had a view of the boardwalk and could see the fireworks. Only about a 10 second walk to the elevators.

If sleep is important, make sure your preferred view is not of the Boardwalk. We stayed as DVC members for the first time in May and I requested a Boardwak view not realizing that the bars stay open until 2 am. There were 4 of us in a 2 bd and all of us were awakened by rowdy drunks 3 nights in a row! Yes, I called the desk and no nothng was done.
The fireworks view is pretty but not worth the lack of sleep,IMO.

Our preferred view in August:
Rm 4060 and steps from the elevator!

I say this in all good humor:
If you were disturbed by rowdy drunks only, you got off light :)

Last stay, we were right in front of the carnival games (and that bell!). Between that, and the boat horns every little bit, naps and sleep were quite the challenge.

Our next stay is a standard view. I'd rather look at the parking lot than the Boardwalk!:rotfl:

We've done both boardwalk and standard views at BWV, and the Boardwalk view is GREAT for views, but stinky for quiet. We've also stayed across from the dreaded bell and that bell has changed my mind forever on a boardwalk view. We do Standard for the point savings.

Thanks for your replies. This is only a one night stay before checking into AKL, so the noise for one night won't matter. I will keep this in mind, however, for future information. I would love to be at BWV for our April and July trips.

Ohhh, that bell!!! Ding ding, ding ding!!! We've had a 5th floor 2 bdrm, boardwalk view that was directly across from the basketball toss game, as well as a third floor room, way down by JellyRolls. I have to say that if it hadn't been for the ding, ding at night, we would have thought it to be pretty quiet. I'm a light sleeper and only one time did the 'over imbibers' disturb my sleep. And that one time was because I was already awake, due to my advanced age and the need to visit the potty in the middle of the night!!!
I have to say that for some reason, my studio overlooking the village green had more noise issues and I'm not sure why. However, I'm booked again in Dec and in Jan...both preferred views. I wanted boardwalk but couldn't get it either time.
