Tell me about POFQ

Have finally made reservations at POFQ. We have 5 yr old twins, I hope that they will like it. Could someone please tell me about the pool ,how deep is it? We got a standard room for $74 a night. 5 nights = $413 including tax. Is this a pretty good deal? I recieved a card in the mail that had this rate and a pin code on it.

The dis Visa offer is for $89 a night - and I thought that was fabulous. What list are you on to get that card?

I don't know what list I'm on. The only thing that I have done is order a disney vacation planner dvd. I have also applied for the disney visa, so I don't know how I got it.

I've done the same - it's funny how dis works!
I keep checking to see if any one has any new scoops about FQ but I think we're going to have to wait until after the 21st.
You should be able to find out more about the pool. I think the just spruced it up. We haven't stayed there yet so I'm sorry to say I have no info yet. Taking our 4 yr old DD so hopely the pool is fun.

Wow, that's an incredible deal! I'm so jealous!!!! I want to suprise DH and DS with staying at this resort when we go in September, but we can't afford the $181 a night that pops up on the Disney website. Does anyone know how I could get a rate that is at least somewhere in the $100 to $125 range?

I've only seen pictures of the pool at this site http://allearsnet.com/acc/g_po.htm so I don't know how deep it is, but it doesn't have the zero entry like some of the pools have. My ds is 3.5 and part fish so he can swim, but with water wings he can go down the slides or anywhere else in the pool, and I don't have to worry (as much, lol) ...maybe those will work for your kids?

WOW that is an awesome rate! I think you and your twins will be very happy there. I have visited but never stayed there. It has a small playground that will be just right for your kids, and the pool will be fun. The resort is smaller and not overwhelming. Have a great time!

From our last trip to POFQ (10/2001), we thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Our DS (then 3) refers to it as the 'snake slide hotel.' We'd pause the 2 second clip of the pool when we would watch the promotional vacation planning video we got from WDW a few years ago.

The pool is spacious and roomy for swimming (the resort wasn't terribly crowded on that trip, however). There are no steps into the pool, FYI. They did have child size flotation vests which were *perfect.* DS couldn't swim, but could easily float around the pool.

The slide is a short but enjoyable ride. The theming of the pool, with the sea serpent arching its back throughout the pool area, is pretty cool. One of the arches is actually a set of stairs going over a section of the pool.

You'll enjoy it.

I recieved my welcome back package the other day and I think they may have changed the pool.
When I compared the pictures that they have in the flyer with the one on the allears site, the serpent and slide seem to be facing opposite directions.
Is it me or has someone else noticed the same thing?

September is a relatively off time, I'm surprised you were quoted a rate that high. I would call 407-WDI-SNEY and ask for rates for your dates. We are paying $122 per night in May with a AAA discount. Still hoping for FL Res rates though.

dmaz...often in printing pictures for production the image may get reversed in the printing process. This may explain the view you are seeing that appears to be in reverse of the image on the computer.
