Hi,

Can anyone shed a little more light on what exactly this entertainment is? What nights/times (I know someone posted that, but now I can't find it....) Also, I think someone mentioned three performances??? Are they all the same? Which one is least crowded, etc? No reservations, I assume? Is it a "bar"? Do you order food/drinks???

Any help is appreciated!!!

This piano man - I think his name was Bob Jackson, plays Port Orleans - Riversidse from Wednesday-Saturday from 8:30pm - Midnight in the River Roost. (Their cocktail lounge). Someone posted hise web address on another thread, but he also plays some other clubs around Orlando.

no reservations, first come first serve, limited tables. Full bar, and a nice selection of appetizers are available..

The show is part comedy, part piano music, part singalong, and all 100% fun.

It's oldies, its TV theme songs, it's campfire songs, its standards. He works audience participation into almost everything, and if you remember that you won't see those peopl ever again and let yourself go, the shows can be quite fun.

He takes two 15 minute intermissions during the evening, but even then he works the room passing out autographed photos and talking with the crowd, I think he tries to visit every table.

And wait till you see the upright piano, its a star itself as it starts rocking back and forth. And every time you hear that bugle...

Thank you, fellow Ohioan! Do you think the show is appropriate for a six year old? We'd have to get there early, of course.

Hi BettyCv,

For much of the show the kids are the stars, and there is never anything that is unsuitable for young ears. A lot of audience participation. We, six adults, had a blast last year, getting there about 45 minutes before showtime and after enjoying a nice dinner at Boatwright's. We did leave at intermission and took the boat to DTD for a few minutes of shopping and then a bus back to our resort from there. A most entertaining and relaxing evening.

Have a great time!! Bob

Absolutely, at least the first or second sets its all clean music. He also gets the children involved, during some of the campfire-ish songs (Hokey Pokey, Heads, shoulders knees and toes" and the like, and had the chldren march around the room during "When the Saints go marching in". Kid's seemed to love it.

About the raunchiest thing would have been if someone messed up the lyrics to "Sara", its sung real fast and has lyrics like "All day long she sits and shines, all night long she shines and sits" You can see what could tend to happen when sung fast.

I beleive the lounge is also a smoke free enivronment.

Thank you all!

How early do you think we'd need to get there to get a table?
