Tell me about PhotoPass thingy...

As it's our (BF and I) first 'just us' trip, we would like some photo's, so tell us everything about Disney's PhotoPass thing!

It's very simple. The first time you have your picture taken, the photographer will give you a card. You hand over your card each time you have a picture taken. That's it!

You can purchase your pictures in the parks or go online later to buy.

Is it any good?

It is. You can add things to your pictures once you get to a computer but, you'd have to pay shipping. We just bought ours at WDW to save a few dollars.

We just returned from our honeymoon and we must give kudos to the photopass system. It is wonderful, easy, and free!! We were skeptical on using it after hearing some experiences, but figured to try it since it was indeed free. Based on our experiences here are a couple of tips for those of you with upcoming trips:

You can ask the photographer to use your camera as well to get the shot, this provides a back-up. As long as they are not swamped with people waiting to get photos, they seemed more than happy to do this.

Also you can go to the gift shop at the GF (2nd floor by entrance to monorail) to view/purchase your pictures from all 4 parks. If you go to view at MK, EPCOT, etc. you can only see that park you are in.

Finally, its free so take advantage of it, get as many pictures as possible. Everytime we saw a photopass CM we got our picture done, and we quickly learned they like "fun" pictures.
