I have read that the Pepper Market food court (at CS?) is QS, but has some great options without an ADR. Can anyone tell me if this place is worth going to or even if we're allowed to? I was thinking we might try it for dinner or lunch to get a 'better' QS meal. We are staying at POFQ.

Anyone can go to the Pepper Market. You don't need an ADR. I like that the food is made fresh to order and that you sit down at a table with actual napkins and real silverware. However, unless you are on the DDP, PM is a bit pricey. They do offer a steak at dinner for a CS credit, and large portions of fajitas, huge burgers and more. They have a terrific bakery. They do charge a 10% service charge, but if you are on the DDP, IT IS INCLUDED.

If you decided to try it, I'd go for dinner rather than lunch.

We like the PM especially when we are on the Dining Plan as it is a CS and you can get anything from prime rib to pasta to burgers with the plan. We felt at Christmas when we were there that the quality has went down a bit but it is still decent.

Depending on who your server is, you may be told like we were by our server that we needed to tip because the dining plan did not include the 10%. To this day, I am not totally sure what is the truth. We ate there 3 times that trip but only 1 server told us that. I don't want to cheat anyone but at the same time I don't want to waste money.

A change on the dining plan this time was they allowed us to choose any desert we wanted where the prior year we were limited to pastries.

Um - YES!!!

My entire family liked Pepper Market. I think the only complaint was that there was too much food. It is alot like a table service, only you have to get up and go to the stations to get what you want.

We are not staying at CSR this visit (as we like to go to different resorts all the time anyway) but we will be returning for at least one meal at Pepper Market.

I really like the Pepper Market. I discovered it in 2005 when I stayed at CS (which I think is a great resort, but that is for another post). When I went down to WDW for the Marathon in 2008 I made a trip there on arrival day just to have my dinner at PM.

I agree with PP that watching your food being made is nice. You know it is cooked then and there and you can add or remove things you don't want. If you have a group there will be something for everyone, much like Sunshine Seasons (OM and SS are my two favorite non-TS places to eat at WDW).

It is a bit confusing for some but the fact you are on these boards means you will be prepared and won't need such a detailed explanation from the cast member at PM.

We are on the QSDP, which is one of the reasons I was interested in PM.

How exactly is the place confusing?

Thanks so much for the great info!!

We stayed at CSR in 2005 and enjoyed the Pepper Market very much- it was much better compared to other Disney hotel food courts (but a little pricier like others mentioned). I don't think I would ever make a trip over there to eat if I wasn't staying there though (even though of course anyone is allowed to eat there). But I guess if you are eating a lot of counter service places and want some variety it is a nice place and the grounds of the resort are fun to walk around. Have fun!

Anybody can go here. It's different than the other food courts. My ds loved it here.

It's confusing to some people because of the way it's set up. When you enter, they give you a check. When you order, the CM stamps your check to indicate what you've bought (or, for baked goods, the "category" of what you've bought). Then, if you're eating in, a CM brings your food to you, you eat, and then you pay for it on your way out. If you're getting your food to go, you wait for it, and pay on your way out.

Thanks so much for all of the quick replies! We might give it a try just for something different! I really like checking out other resorts anyway!!:thumbsup2

Slight correction. The CM does NOT bring the food to you. The CM takes your order drink and brings you your drink and clears your table. You personally go up to the station, order your food and wait for it.

We have been to the PM for breakfast (while staying onsite) and dinner (while staying offsite) and it was awesome both times...I would def eat there again

We love Pepper Market also. A great place to get carry out as most of the Disney resorts have no take out for their restaurants. You can get many options and make everyone happy.

I don't particularly like any of the CS options at Disney Studios ( AK either since they changed Tusker House into a TS:mad: ), so will frequently catch a bus at lunch time to CSR just to eat at the Pepper Market. The steak is no longer on the lunch menu, but I still plan on running over there on one of my AK or DS days. If you are on the DDP, you can get a smoothie for your drink. We've always been told the tip was included with the DDP.

Like you, I am staying at POFQ when I'm there in May, but plan on having at least one (if not two) meals at the Pepper Market.

It's very expensive...

We went one day for breakfast, a belgian waffle (one, 7 inch diameter or so) and four slices of bacon (no drink) was $11.00. :scared:

If we weren't on the DDP, I probably wouldn't consider it for that very reason. But, since we are, we plan to go and get our money's worth for sure!!

Thanks for all of the great info!:thumbsup2
