I have booked the REAS package for our cruise next September but after looking at the sample menu on the web am not real sure what to eat there. I am not real familiar with many of those items that are listed. Can anyone give suggestions about what to order. We will probably already exchange the champagne for sparkling grape juice as I want to be awake as much as possible to enjoy our 3 night cruise. Trying to decide if the add on will be worth it for us. Thanks. :rolleyes1

Doesn't matter what you order, they are going to bring you what ever they want anyway :) Basically you'll order something, they will suggest some other things, and even if you say that it's already alot of food they will bring it to you, and you'll love every bite of it. I don't think there is much of anything that you can go wrong with there.

There's no question that you don't want to miss out on going, the food on the ship is good, but Palo's food is 50 times better.

They pretty much always the have standards, beef, fish, chicken, and even if it's not exactly on the menu they can modify stuff that's on it to suit you.

On my anything you order is wonderful. They do tend to bring you other dishes along with your order. We had so much food I thought I was going to be sick. But oh my it was yummy.

I love the Chocolate Souffle for dessert. You must save room for this and coffee. What a way to end the evening.

We booked the package for our trip and it was absolutely worth it. I would agree with the others in regards to not worrrying about the menu since it can change depending on what is available. The folks at Palo are amazing and are willing to accommodate most requests. They post the menu outside the restaurant so you can see it before you dine there. We met the chef during our brunch and he mentioned he has received requests before, so I don't think it's impossible to make any arranagements. Since you booked the package you could also contact concierge while on the ship with any concerns. Hope this helps.

I just remembered this as I was reading what jan said.
When we were there in 2003 a gentleman behind us was not impressed with the menu. His wife was rather embarrassed when he asked the server for a hamberger. The server found him a hamburger and all was well.

They probably just ground up one of the filets!

Do you tip after you eat in Palo's or do you wait until the end of the cruise to give them the tip.

Tip at the end of the meal. They'll charge you the $10 pp and you add on the tip then.

The chocolate souffle was as everyone says, but we also loved the sweet pizza for dessert. We each only had one entree, but I think we shared every dessert they offer. Yum!!

I wonder what time sunset will be in November. I would love to see sunset from Palo!! :sunny:

Marcie you can look that up on-line. That is what we did so we would be there at the correct time frame. Just do a search for it on-line.

Both times I couldn't pass up the filet. It is out of this world. Last cruise my husband couldn't decide between the lamb chops and the veal so the waiter brought both. I tried the lamb and it was awesome also.

Everything at Palo is terrific. The nice thing is you can taste a lot of things, if you don't like something you can order something else. Plan on spending 2 hours there(at least). They have pizza on the menu, they are a four slice size and they are wonderful. There is one that is not on the menu - "alfredo pizza" - oh my gosh, absolutely out of this world. The chef uses an alfredo sauce, chicken, pesto, mushrooms - my husband doesn't like mushrooms so we had that left off - just too good for words!!!
